Don't even allow that thought to flourish...

That's one of my Golden Eggs alongside PRESCO and NASCON

hancock:
Gracias
Already have all you listed in small units except Aradel which seems way too high at its current price.
Will continue topping up as much as I can

What Investment One said wrote about Aradel
Hypothetically , at their current rate N5m invested in Aradel gives you 5,000 share and same N5m invested in NAHCO gives about 32,200 shares
Given both have good upscale in the next 5 years , maybe the NAHCO investment is a better choice ?

Thank you
Hello sir, I have a situation and I really need your guidance.
I currently have investments in a money market fund and stocks, domiciled with Stanbic MMF and ARM One respectively. At the moment, I need some cash, but I do not want to liquidate any of my investments.
I considered taking an asset-backed loan, but unfortunately ARM does not offer that option. Stanbic, however, offers a Smart Loan against the MMF at an interest rate of 2.33% per month.
I am unsure whether this is a good deal or even the right decision financially. I would appreciate your advice.

Better to borrow against your shares.

Money Market Fund will pay you about 18% but the interest on the loan is about 26%.

I will advise you to liquidate your Money Market Fund instead of borrowing against it

Thank you sir.

However, if I'm to borrow against my stocks, what is the best way to approach it, since ARM doesn't offer it

United Capital does.

Since ARM does not, it is better to liquidate part of your Money Market Fund.

Does not make sense to earn less than 20% on your MMF but you are paying over 25% as interest on loan

The number of shares doesn't mean anything. Think about it in percentage terms. It doesn't matter if you have 1m shares of Arable or 10m shares of NAHCO, a 10% gain will give you the same 500k

Don't be too hard on yourself and it will also do you no good if you continue to look in the direction of village peole for your misfortune.

The people you see here as successful have given years into the business and learnt a lot of leasons along the way.
Number one, you need to modrate your greed. Two, buy/borrow/steal patience, it is the bedrock of success in this business. IT IS NEVER A GET RICH QUICK VENTURE. Three, acquire basic education on how to spot good prospects. This forum is heaven-sent in this regard. And, just take it one day at a time.

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Meerahbel: 5:42pm On Feb 15
Oando faithful and promoter are praying and hoping the news of right issues recently released should lead to massive bids from retail investors, till the price cross 50 Naira and above.

They don't care about the differences in right issues price and market price.

They don't care about picking up their rights for they likely wouldn't till the market price present a huge discount.

They know that without them the funds to be gotten from the right issue have been settled if major shareholders like Sir Tinubu pick up theirs.

Pls give it to them. They are very very very smart individuals and massive massive massive massive hope when it come to Oando. Sample their opinions you would find that the measure and scrutiny they give other stock isn't the same when it comes to their beloved Oando.

If their plan and hope works (which I believe it likely would) Oando might see gains on Monday and they would come to hail their NAYSAYERS.

Pls give it to them. It's been getting long since a major sentiment news propel Oando price for them to book good profit. If this news happens to do that. Hallelujah. If it seem someone wants to use his or her opinion to spoil the chance of that happening. Condemnation to such.

Very few stock have this kind of shareholders.

Our hope is that may their hope be fulfilled with massive profit.

We thought Presco was expensive at less than N200 in June 2021, but the price now

Unfortunately core value investors who don't know how to analyze growth and quality misses the opportunity to load more 5 years ago
you are both right. Cyclicals are actually like this. By the time dollars weakened to N1000 as speculated, cbn will reduce interest rate importers will import more. There margins will suffer. But I feel market takes time to correct and might produce another opportunity hopefully.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by starpower(m): 6:38pm On Feb 15
emmanuelewumi:
If you are a core value investor, you will continue to miss opportunities in the market if you don't know how to identify quality stocks and growth stocks selling at a reasonable price.

@Nosa, take note.
Core value investing price in growth and at appropriate price. Everyone just perceived value differently, and there will be errors of omission. Sometimes you found something better or thought is better. I see all investing as speculation but imagine palm oil price is selling at $550/Mt, where is the profit then. Currently price as been falling in the market and can track palm oil shipments to Nigeria. A glut might be near soon if naira strengthen aggressively.

I have been thinking hard on which stock my family can really invest in once we get paid on what we were owed on a contract job over the years. I have been thinking of vfd, unity bank for long term. Aradel, okomu oil but the thing is can one get that much volume as it gets higher

Is it volume you want to buy or value.

With N1 million you should get the following units without considering commission.

1. SEPLAT 119 units
2. DAARCOM 338,983 units
3. UNIVINSUR 675,675 units

Does this make SEPLAT more expensive. Hell NO.

I will rather deploy my N1 Million in SEPLAT to have my peace of mind.

Pause. Stop scrolling. You are about to read something that will change your life. If you read this post to the END and it doesn’t cause change in you, please block me…

This picture was taken over a decade ago… it was taken by the Awuzie Studio’s Videographer, Vuyo - former producer of Zola7 - a major Reality TV show back in the days here in South Africa.

This was the day I knew I would NEVER be poor again. The man I met on that day said to me “Dr. Charles, (that was a title awarded to me by the theological college where I initiated and taught cyber-evangelism and also helped translate the NT to Urdu), - the man who was cursed by God built a city and named it after his son, but those blessed by God in the new covenant are still paying rent”. He said. That day, my mind opened. I realised that the only curse working against me was the limitation I placed on my mind. From that day, I told myself that I will leave behind a wealthy inheritance not just for my sons but for everyone attached to me.

When I die, you will find people who are not related by me by blood in my will. Some people WILL NEVER be poor again in their life because of their inheritance through me.

Even if I die cash-broke, those who will survive me will inherit wealth - it’s called financial planning.

Something shifts in you when you realise that YOU ARE NOT CURSED BUT BLESSED.
You have not sinned - you are forgiven.
You are not being punished, you are just ignorant.
I don’t know who told you that an ancestral curse is working against you. Today, you have a chance to say “I inherited ancestral blessings and not curses”. Let me share something with you:
I was one of those who honestly thought I inherited poverty until Dr. Alex Otti came to power. Prices of land in Aba shut up like rocket 🚀. One plot of land that used to go for few hundreds of thousands is now priced at several millions. My ancestors left massive portions of land which used to probably be the largest family held land in that area but many cousins sold off their land out of desperation. Those who held without selling will make millions today. What used to be seen as a curse is looking like a blessing because of GOOD GOVERNANCE. Thank you Dede Alex Otti for revealing Blessings in places we once saw curses.

For some of you, a good Government is all you need to realise how blessed you are. A bad government and society is also the reason why you think you are cursed.

Stop going for curse breaking deliverance - rather use that money to learn a skill in tech and open your mind to possibilities.
Africa is not cursed - Africa is just ignorant.

Wake up! Pursue knowledge - what you believe becomes your reality. If you believe you are cursed, even the first man to be cursed in the holy book built a city and had a son who inherited his wealth. Your curse cannot be stronger than his. Only your ignorance can be thicker than his.

My name is #CharlesAwuzie and you will never grow until you change what you think about yourself. This picture marked my own evolution!

Core value investors don't consider growth. Once the PE is high they assume the stock is overpriced.

Peter Lynch's concept of ) Growth At a Reasonable Price) is aimed at merging value investing and growth investing.
