He Kept Her Waiting With A Ring For 15 Years by Kalulu44(op): 7:53pm On Feb 16
Good evening ladies and gentle moi moi!
I do believe many of us watch Hollywood and Nollywood movies.
In most of these movies especially Nollywood own, we are thought lessons of life. But most times they do exaggerate their stories that made it not believable.
I have watched and heard stories of romantic and relationship betrayals, but this one I witnessed was shocking to me and beyond believe. How can a woman wait for a man not 1,2,3,4 or even 5yrs but a whole 15yrs and later married someone else under your nose.
Was she bewitched, ignorant, foolishly in love or what?
Now here's the story.
.
In 2012, while at work driving my commercial bus conveying passengers from Agbara to Mile 2 of Lagos. I was stopped by Okoko police just in front of their station. Where's my driver's license, I showed them. Your vehicle papers I gave it to them.
Unfortunately one of my papers has expired two weeks prior. I tried to plead with them that it's been renewed, they refused, parked my bus and told all the passengers to come down. I went to meet with the leader of their team, who said I should bring 1k and they will let me go. I told him I don't have such amount and that it's my 1st trip.
He refused saying 1k or nothing.
Honestly speaking, that was on Saturday and I really never seen wanted to go to work that day. So I put my passengers inside another bus, and then called my younger brother who's a soldier in Ojo barracks. My bro told me he's busy but when he finishes with what he's doing he will come.
.
So I went to lock up my bus properly and as I was about to leave, one of the police accosted me and said I was under arrest too. For what I asked, he said for not having complete papers.
I said but you already have my bus, you can't detain both me and my bus same time. They didn't listen to my plea and wanted to rough handle me, I just obey and follow them inside their station. They kept me just behind their counter.
Their oga came to tell me, whenever I am ready to pay the 1k I should let them know. Me didn't bother myself, I was waiting for my bro.
Some minutes into my waiting at the back of their counter, two women dragged themselves to the station shouting at each other on top of their voices.
.
One of the officers at the counter who's an elderly man, shut them down and let them know they're inside a police station.
After they calm down, the officer ask the first woman what happened. The woman said she doesn't have much to say other than they should ask the other woman why she has been trailing she and husband with okada.
That she and husband who just got married a week earlier went out on that day to go get something. That, the other woman has used bike to stop them twice on the way and commanding her husband to come down.
On each occasion, her husband will reverse and manuevre away from her and the bike until she trail them to their house and started making trouble.
That why both of them were shouting and quarreling, the husband left them and drove out. After being separated by neighbors, they decided to come table their matter at the station.
Hmm.... The policeman sigh and then ask the other lady to narrate her grievances.
.
She said the said man was her fiance and husband to be, the other woman tried to interrupt her but the police man asked her to stop.
Continue madam, he told the woman.
She said, she started dating the man who was a lecturer then in LASU ojo, when she was 20yrs. The man was the one half sponsoring her in school.
Three yrs later after she graduated, the man opened a business for her and also gave her a ring, that any man that comes to her she should always show them the ring.
That sooner or later, he will come to do the proper thing and marry her.
Three years turn to five years. Five years to ten. That anytime she reminds him of the marriage stuff. He will just find something to convince her and told her she shouldn't worry, everything will be fine.
Fast forward to another five years, which makes it altogether 15yrs. The man relocated her to Abeokuta and got her a new apartment,
Saying he will soon join her and that's where they'll finally settled down.
Not knowing, he just wants to take her out of Lagos bcus he had another plans.
.
That it was during the week prior to that Saturday, that a friend of her in Lagos called her that her man just wedded someone that last Saturday. She said she couldn't believe it at first, but her friend told her she has the full details and where he and the said wife are living. So she came down from Abeokuta on Saturday morning. The friend gave her the address to the house. She took bike to the said address, but along the way she her man car and then told the bike man to follow the car and get closer to it, she wants to check something.
The okada man did as she said and drove to the driver said, where she saw him and a woman sitting at the passenger side.
She gesture with her hand to her man to stop, but immediately he saw her, he increase his speed. She pleaded with the bike guy to try and speed up to him. Fortunately they got to him at a slow traffic. She told the bike to double cross and stay at the front of the car.
While there, she came down and walk to the driver side and told him to wind down and come down for them to talk.
But the man pretended not to notice her, immediately the traffic moved, he reverse back and manuevre not to hit the bike and zoomed off.
.
She eventually told the bike not to double cross them again but just follow behind at a distance till they get to wherever they are going. And that was how she trace them to their house. She quickly block them at the gate of the house and demanded the man come down, but instead it was the woman that came down and started shouting and pushing her.
Saying, why are you following us. What do you want from my husband?
She retorted back with, he's my man and showed her the ring he gave her. The woman from the car laughed and showed her her own saying they just got married last week. The shouting match turned into a fisticuffs, while they were at it, the man simply reverse and zoomed off.
That it was after neighbors and passersby separated them that someone suggested they should take the matter to police station.
While she was finishing narrating her story, she began to cry, showing the officer the ring he gave to her, saying she's now 35yrs and Tunji (the man) kept promising her for that past 15yrs only to go marry another woman.
That the painful part was that Tunji came to Abeokuta last Friday a day to the wedding to spend the night with her. Not knowing he had other plans the next day.
.
The next thing everybody heard was "aunty wey mumu" man hold you down for 15yrs and you no soji yourself, and him still come chop you again before him go marry another person. Guess where that voice came from. It was one of the guys locked up inside one of the cell that's close to the counter, apparently he had listened to everything. Omo everybody just burst into laugh including his other cell mates. The officer shooked his head in self pity for the woman while she was crying.
Me, where I was sitting down I was shocked to my marrow. So this things dey really happen I said to myself. This one don pass "Lord of the rings o" na "Queen of the ring"
At last the officer spoke and asked the married woman if she's aware of what her fellow lady just said now about her husband.
She said nope, that she's just hearing it for the first time. That her husband never told her anything about anybody.
Then the officer said where is her husband now, she said they didn't know when he drove out during the altercation.
The policeman told her to call him on phone which she did. When he picked, she handed the phone to the policeman who spoke to him and politely and told him why he should appear at the station.
.
30min later, the man showed up dress up like pastor with sharp suit and barbed his hair pastor style like Chris Okotie's own.
The officer told him to sit between the two women. Which he did. The officer asked him to introduce himself and tell him who this women are to him.
He said his name is pastor Tunji and a professor in LASU. That same guy from the cell exclaimed again, "Oga no dey call yourself pastor"
The officer shut the guy up and told the man to continue, he asked him who's the woman at his left to him, he said she's his wife. The next thing we heard was a hot slap from the woman from his right. Saying, Tunji how could you do this to me, the other woman wanted to retaliate but the officer intervened and said infact this is not a matter only him can settle, that DPO must hear about it.
He told his other officer to hold brief for him at the counter while he took all of them to the DPO's office.
.
When they left, see talks from the guys inside the cell. There's no kind of insult they didn't give to that woman who was waiting for 15yrs and also the man.
As minutes went by, I noticed some more people going into the DPO's office.
After over an hour deliberation, everybody including DPO came out from his office outside. From where I was, I noticed everybody smiling and the two said ladies hugging each other. The man shaking the DPO and the elderly officer that took them there.
Within a short while the two ladies and two other person enter Mr Tunji's car and left.
Only God knows how the DPO settled them, when that elderly officer came back to his post, fear no gree me ask him waiting DPO tell them.
.
Na so that matter take go, 15yrs of waiting and wasting your time on a man, honestly I really don't know what to say to her and likes.

Manipulate an adult how exactly?

How exactly did he stop her from handing the ring back, ignoring the sweet talks and moving on swiftly with her life?

You people should fear God ó.

Guy I am done abeg, so you haven't seen court cases where people are being held for manipulation. Wasn't Doris Ogala manipulated by Chris Okafor, didn't you watch the white victims TB Joshua manipulated.
Manipulation is manipulation irrespective of the person being manipulated reason well or not. That's why I still call her a fool
