Harddiskng:If youre going really heavy as you said. I'll advise you wait for a pull back and for 2026 financials to start rolling in. This will provide clarity on the companies that are presently fairly valued, overvalued and cheap. This strategy works everytime. The bad side is that you may miss this rally if it extends longer than expected. Alternatively, you can research on earnings expectations of NGX listed companies, use this for your valuation and compare your value with present stock prices to catch winners with potential for more rally (this is more advanced though). megawealth01:Historically, pre-election years are not the best equity years in Nigeria. Many times, in H2, liquidity may dry up and sellers may dominate activities. It is important to note that the dynamics are different now. Local players now dominate the bourse and positionings are mainly long (buy). In addition, the maximum equity allocation for pension funds have been raised and market corrections may provide accumulation opportunities for large pension fund orders. The two factors above should minimise the level of the selloff. Hence, when the correction comes, I think we should not be too bearish (Example is the correction in November 2025) My humble opionion. Cheers 🍻 Iskalamong! . . |

iskalamong:Pull what by how many %. Just so you know, a stock with strong fundamentals and great future prospects won’t pull back massively so you can enter lol. Instead it will keep increasing in price. Ask Aradel, it popped up on my criteria around 500 ish months ago (attached was my mandate). Instead of me to jejely buy at market price, i was looking to get it at a discount. Always nding in a bit lower bids. E no wait for me oo, till i missed that ship (know at what price to stop chasing). If i had entered at market price, I would be doing nearly 90% return by now. Besides i have discovered i have no reason to beat myself up on 10-20% discount when i am looking at over 500 -1,000% return in 5 years

For me, I usually buy at market price just to get skin in the game first. If you don't buy at all, you may end up missing a good run. I buy at market price and then frequently afterwards..if there is a pullback, I buy some more. I always take a long view. The market price today will be considered low next year. I first recently bought WAPCO at ATH on 156 and hoped it would correct. It went to 160 and I bought twice as much. Then 165 and I doubled down. Now it's almost 200. Imagine I had been waiting for 150. Harddiskng: |

| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by iskalamong(m): 4:08pm On Feb 17 |
Harddiskng:Another angle. A valid one at that. I tend to buy and sell within a year in most cases. Rinse and repeat. Over a long term period, the 10 to 20% discount or premium will not matter as much as it would if you missed out entirely on the entry (provided it is a fundamentally sound stock with great prospects). Elsewhere, not to argue but as regards Aradel, before its bull this year, many traders had to cut their loss on it for lack of momentum. Aradel literally dropped below N400 after it crossed the N800 mark post listing. That's a c.50% dip. Cheers 🍻 Iskalamong! . . |

EDUECO:It is not a good sign if insiders are selling. Perhaps a large fund is bent on exiting. Or perhaps some in the know of bad acquisitions and impending impairments is exiting. |

faoogoke:I understand your hesitation about insurance stocks. Historically, they have underperformed and traded at very low prices for years. But the current situation is fundamentally different. This recapitalization exercise is not business as usual — it is a structural reset of the entire insurance industry. Here’s why I strongly believe that any insurer that successfully meets recapitalization will not trade below ₦10 within the next 6 to 12 months: Stronger Balance Sheets Companies that meet recapitalization will emerge with significantly stronger capital bases. A stronger balance sheet increases underwriting capacity, boosts investor confidence, and improves valuation multiples. Reduced Number of Players Not every insurance company will survive this phase. We are likely to see mergers, acquisitions, and consolidations. Fewer players mean stronger market share concentration and improved profitability for those that remain. Repricing of the Entire Sector Insurance stocks have been undervalued for years. Once recapitalization is completed, the market will begin to price them based on new capital strength and growth prospects — not on their old weak structures. Institutional and Smart Money Entry Institutional investors prefer financially strong companies. After recapitalization, qualifying insurers will meet investment thresholds that many funds require. Increased institutional participation will naturally push prices higher. Liquidity Cycle in the Market The Nigerian market is gradually shifting attention to sectors that have lagged. Insurance is one of the last undervalued sectors. When full momentum enters, price adjustments can be very aggressive. Psychological Price Reset Historically, companies that successfully recapitalize rarely continue trading at penny levels. Market perception changes. A company with solid capital cannot logically remain priced like a distressed entity. I am not saying prices will move overnight. But in a 6–12 month window after meeting recapitalization requirements, it will be difficult for fundamentally strengthened insurers to remain below ₦10. This is not speculation — it is a structural valuation shift driven by capital strength, reduced supply of weak players, improved confidence, and sector rotation. Sometimes the biggest returns come when sentiment is still doubtful. Just something to think about. |

Agbalowomeri:Why the run now? Market is being strengthening the more. Insurance recapitalization Dangote refinery IPO $1 Trillion economy drive. Wait for ASI at 300k. All these will even happen before 2027 election. Tinubu is a very smart man. Investors in this market will make money and become tired of money self. Have you asked why the introduction of tax in the stock market? Because they know people will harvest heavily. We are only but in the middle of this bull journey. ASI will do another 80-100% but only the patient investors will enjoy it 100%. Jijoists will be jumping around thinking they are making money. When they see the stock they sold is on 1000% extra, eyes go clear. |
