forget this your googled talk. In ancient times, men didn't just marry, their father\family married wives for them. Some parents started the process immediately the girl child was born, that was why they took it as if the wives were the properties of the family and can give them to any family member when their husbands died.

I don't know where you're from, but where I'm from you don't get married and expect your parents to feed your wife and kids. People get married when they're fairly able to take care of a family - mid to late twenties!
