The people working in that company really want to wreck the company. Year in year out nothing to write home about, yet they are in partnership with everything. It saddens me that a company with a great prospect like that would suffer because of poor management and lack of transparency. The marine segment of the company doesn't generate anything yet they are building boats, barges etc. I don't really have an idea how they manufacture their results, always declaring loss upon loss.

You think Wale will make money and want to share with shareholders? They are already cornering the company to themselves. Na only them go buy the RI. Las las they will buy out the minority shareholders. If dem give you N100 make you no collect. Dem go carry you go court grin grin grin
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by megawealth01: 2:04pm On Feb 18
I get you... I know for sure Wale hasn't repented yet but my exit plan is not a problem. My entry price is still very low
Sunrisepebble:
My question RE: Oando is, do you think Wale cares about you, the shareholder or himself? What is good for Wale is not necessarily good for the share price.
My two cents

I have used Morgan Capital Securities for years and i have not had an issue, and they respond to queries. I sold INTBREW in December 2025 over a space of 2 days and placed a Withdrawal request for N55M immediately. My bank account was funded in T+2 days; given the reality that withdrawal queues are usually high in December. So saying Morgan Capital can't handle a mere N20M withdrawal is absurd.
Very absurd.

I've seen them process hundreds of millions of naira without delay or glitch. First hand experience not hearsay.

Cheers 🍻

You have to start developing interests in news about various sectors in the economy, the companies, their financial statements, events, projects, developments etc. if you want to be buying stocks.

1. To be able to buy/sell stocks, you need to open an account with a licensed stockbroker i.e. companies that are licensed to buy/sell stocks on behalf of investors (see approved list .... https://ngxgroup.com/exchange/trade/becoming-an-investor/find-a-broker/)
The stockbroker would request for some data e.g. ID, BVN, NIN etc. and open a stock trading account for you (domiciled with the broker) and a CSCS account with a CHN (domiciled at the NGX/SEC). You may contact/visit some stockbrokers to check their services, office locations, means of trading e.g. online platform or manual documents etc., fees etc

2. You can start buying shares through either:
a. Primary Market e.g. via public offer, private placement (new issuance of shares to the public).; this happens once in a while. There are no fees to pay when you buy via primary market
b. Secondary Market e.g. via NGX which we discuss on this forum; takes place every working day. You will pay fees when you buy/sell via the secondary market

3. For a public offer, you will see the company adverts and application forms in newspapers, online media, banks, insurance companies etc. If interested in that company/stock, you can fill the form, pay via cash/cheque/transfer to your stockbroker or receiving bank, insurance company etc. It is advisable you keep duplicates and collect receipt as evidence, if possible

4. To buy via secondary market, you need to monitor and identify the stocks listed on NGX (like we discuss here daily) then deposit money into the broker's bank account and send them your purchase instruction (form) with evidence of payment. Some stockbrokers have online platforms for this process. Keep evidence for your records, if possible.

5. Records of your transactions (cash deposits, purchases, sales etc.) will appear in your stock trading account with the broker. But your CSCS account will show only the units of stocks that you have in your portfolio (at NGX/SEC) at a point in time. After you buy or sell a stock through your broker, ensure you request for your trading account and check with the CSCS account(takes 2-3 days), until you master the process.

6. Always confirm the brokers fees for purchases and sales of stocks (each broker's fees may differ slightly)

Wish you good luck and remember to look for me for some royalty when you make your billions.
Thanks for the Inputs Sir.
This seems like a lot of work lol i thought its just like buying and selling Forex with a Broker
I will go through it step by step
Thanks

You are poking virtually every stocks.
What did you say or do when Wale was paying N2-N3 dividend annually around 2006-2011? It may still happen again.

By the way, I will be very okay if I collect N100 per share to exit Oando, if sanctioned by the Court.

Your stockbroker can do everything for you after you open an account with them and contact them whenever you need to buy shares. .
It is very simple.
I only gave you more info so you would not be confused when you start trading

We should expect some sideways movements for the next couple of days. Possibly till early March.

But this is NGX, surprises may show up.

I would not even go for any RI in Oando now. My entry price was very low.
I have also benefitted from the share redistribution bonus.

Did they actually take up everything? I don't think so. The qualifying date was just Feb13, the same day the notice came out so every shareholder on that date qualifies.

My reading of the Oando recent moves (2025/2026),, particularly after the Eni acquisitions.

1. The share redistribution was a condition by a major lender ( possibly Afrexim) because the holder of the shares (and the debt it was swapped for) Ocean and Oil were insiders. meaning WT surrender the shares at N93/share as a payment for the debt owed by Ocean and Oil to satisfy a drawdown/availment pre- condition pursuant to the Afrexim credit lines.

2. recent result were deliberate accounting gimicks to take advantage of tax credits from earlier losses (from the conocophillips years/acquisition), else it will be forgone once new tax regime per PIA act/Eni acquisitions kick in. (Sunrise mentioned something like this some moons back

3. Financial books clean up has commenced (possibly after tax credit advantage from earlier losses has finished).

4 The first thing WT is doing from the Financial books clean up was to get back some if not all the shares he surrendered earlier via RI. meaning he exchanged the shares for debt at N93 and is buying it back (via RI) at 50, nearly 100% gain.

5. The clean up to continue via debt to equity/ bonds sale (as mentioned by karl some few days ago).

6. Oando might find it true worth/ balance after the clean up (which could take as much as 18-24 months to fully implement). WT could also decided to go private at that point (as mentioned by Agba)

Not a sale or buy recommendation. just my bird eye view of the whole scenario.
