A lot of old Unity Banks shares converted into Providus-Unity Bank shares (17 for 18) will be available for public trade hence the listing by introduction being a strong possibility.

The good news is that there are more than 4 billion of these shares. Assuming that half of old Unity Bank shareholders didn't opt for cash, even listing by introduction will start with at least 2 billion retail shares meaning we may not lack sellers on Day 1

mikeapollo:
I had the same concern about possible listing by introduction but hardly has any bank done so since the 2004 banking and capital market reforms. Let's wait and see what happens

No need to personalize it. I had a fair value number in my head for Ellah based on its book value.
The bottomline is JAPAULGOLD is no longer a JIJO stock, They will COMMENCE GOLD production by MAY 2026.

So let's wait for their 2026 full year results though along the line they will raise FRESH FUND (500billion) via PO @t circa #20

VFD needs to come up with better news......maybe of good dividend payment or any such good news.
I learnt they're moving it back up to 19/20.....
...but when others are moving, and in the absence of no news yet, people may be tempted to sell to key into moving train...
VFD's time too will come.
People should not sleep on this, still digging sha.

ABC Transport which released a strong FYE statement with profit up by 121% cannot be, in any way, mentioned in the same breath as gambling biko

ppogba:
If Japaul is gambling then what is DAAR that has presumably bought CNN or ABC Transport that has acquired Ethiopian Airlines as part of it's fleet?
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by megawealth01: 12:31pm On Feb 19

You may be right. But I fear those old Unity Bank shares may be entirely mopped up by current directors of the bank (insider deals) if they list by introduction, as they have both the funds and administrative leeway to do so through the brokers.

My problem with these sort of speculations is that there is no way to identify the dud from the gem. I personally believe Japaul is a dud but then again I believed bitcoin was a dud at $600 and I don't regret that belief.

For me capital preservation is king. I would not make an investment unless I can explain it to my lizard brain
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by megawealth01: 12:45pm On Feb 19
BTC a dud? That BTC gave MEGAWEALTH oooooo

As we play in the equity market, need for capital appreciation would always come up.

U dey mind oga Nosa, may b hin don forget say the more money you get the more risk averse u become, one of the reason I like paa Emma, he understands that statement wella and live by it.u can never see him speculating and he will never discourage you, highest he will wait after some promises failed to come to pass from the company before he go Begin the banta.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by crownprince2017: 1:01pm On Feb 19
U want dey compare someone trading with 5m and someone with 500m.

Its obvious that majority with 500m will not take anyhow risk In the name of doubling the fund in short period of time but the other guy will mostly do because the cost of that conviction not coming to pass is different n more punitive to the guy with 500m.

Na why u see agba in fixed income jeje, high blood pressure is real. grin grin
