ojesymsym:On NGX. The Nigerian real-time trading platform. Your stockbroker would link you up. Like so below. See the attachment. You could have caught Mbenefit the new entrant today well before the full bid. Same for Japaul and Tantalizer a few days before.

Valthegreat:Are you able to place bids at 09:30:00:0000? If not, it's likely that there are already 50m bids at maximum price too and at that precise time, they'll get filled first before yours can be filled. And since Japaul isn't even doing up to 5m units in sales, you see why it's next to impossible to have yours filled? Except someone in thesame brokerage house as you decides to sell, in which case, the queue can be bypassed in your favour, but even then, you still have to be the earliest bid from that brokerage house. |

Valthegreat:Those people placed their bids before you. Try placing bids at exactly 9.30am. Before then, ensure you know the day's high and place it at exactly that price. This won't make you the number one bidder but it will take you close, and, if you are lucky, you might be able to buy on the day. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by aj8(m): 2:13pm On Feb 19 |
PuristForest:Japaul may not tarry till 16-20, especially if the company can give further clarification. Just follow the volume for now. Over 200 million all bidding the max? I can't see it stopping soon. I was able to position at 2.51 when the volume showed multiple spikes and demand outweighed supply by miles. At that time the news wasn't out yet but just peaks in interest in the stock on the real-time platform. |

awesomeJ:Thanks, I didn't also know about the brokerage house part. In other words, any brokerage house can decide to favor their customers with any orders emanating in-house before the public can have access? |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by jp130(m): 2:23pm On Feb 19 |
This japaul that was laughed at N2.0+. Now over 200m units queuing up to purchase it. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Valthegreat(m): 2:28pm On Feb 19 |
aj8:I believe if offers starts pushing out massively perhaps around Circa #5 some of the current bidders may become jittery of becoming bag holders including me. So the chase is not expected to be sustainable at higher highs. |

Valthegreat:Yes, but i wouldn't phrase it as the house favouring their customers, I think the matching algorithm is just set up to match in house first, it makes settlement easier. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by megawealth01: 2:32pm On Feb 19 |
Ooh how many times is he distributing? mikeapollo: |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by mikeapollo: 2:34pm On Feb 19 |
Valthegreat:Sometimes, you need to contact your broker trading on the floor to push your bid so you can buy faster. You cannot just rely on the app especially when there is so much huge demand for the stock, until the rush dies down a bit. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by aj8(m): 2:41pm On Feb 19 |
Valthegreat:Unless the company comes up with further positive clarification and forecasts around the N5 junction to drive it further. A few pictures would suffice to range it towards 10 but real maths is needed beyond that. It's all sentiments now, nothing concrete. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by mikeapollo: 2:44pm On Feb 19 |
megawealth01:He is supposed to distribute Phase1 in 2025 i.e. Feb(tranche1) and June(tranche2) This latest distribution is for Jun 2025 (tranche2) of Phase1 Then there should be Phase2 in 2026 (no dates fixed yet nor number of tranches) Then Phase3 in 2027 I guess each phase would have two tranches |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by chimex38: 2:44pm On Feb 19 |
PETERiCHY:It's an idiom kinda. Loosing ones shirt in Nosas scenario butrressed by Emma mean the extreme cases of probably loosing your capital when you have lost the Money (Profit/Capital_Appreciation). or the alternative physical asset the capital was supposed to have funded. It doesn't create the alternative . I suppose it came from football bet, especially at night, where youths stake on credit hoping to hit a jackpot and then payback the debt; but unfortunately they lose. With no more money in them, They have to payback the betting agent with their shirts that night pending when they bring the cash equivalent the next day.. Even if its just #100 staked!! ![]() |

Valthegreat:* Most of those trades you saw are crossings from one customer's account to another..... * Some are cross deals from one broker to another or to another account on negotiated deals......crossing @ premium price..... * Majority are not traded on the floor. yMcy56: |
