Actually, it's a case of overdoing yourself wrt ELLAH.
If they had opted to raise ₦100bn instead of ₦200bn, they would have had an oversubscription which would boost investor confidence but they shot themselves in the foot by not starting the mill...

Gold is a different ball game entirely smiley

How much is Japaul gold wants to raise again? It will end the same way as Ellah lakes. These people have no respect for billion naira. grin grin grin

Meanwhile if you checked the recently released result about N200 million was spent on the public offer

Ellah Lakes will go back to N6.00.

I don't know the new content that the content creators managing the stock price can do to prevent this from happening
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by HesInMe: 1:25pm On Feb 20
What is this? I'm not a fan of Ellah but publicly listed companies don't announce material information like public offer results on an unverified website.

KarlTom:
"Ellah Lakes Plc announced today, February 20, 2026, that its ambitious ₦235 billion Public Offer failed to meet the minimum subscription threshold.

Despite a high-profile marketing campaign and a bullish stock market environment, the company will not allot any shares and will instead refund all applicants..."

While the failed offer is a setback, the commitment to transparency and the ongoing ARPN deal suggest that the “long-term transformation” story is still alive, albeit on a different funding timeline.

It always looks like a different story but the same narrative. You think 500Billy na yah mate.. that’s CBN benchmark for bank Capitalization which they struggle to meet. This is common sense.

Anyways, We will consider taking up Ellah at 7-8. And still waiting for access at 19 except they declare a good dividend. Access last acquisition failed, and I believe they would have incurred a cost and inflated the figure to siphone money.

Goodluck everyone

We are only making speculative money.
When production of Gold start, that's when Japaul will kick off with good returns.

We are riding on with whales who bought around N2 region. They have a target price.when target is finally met, distribution will start.
I only have a million units left.I used Japaul proceeds to buy property around December.

CWG appears to have already priced in much of the upside; my fair value range is ₦16–₦33. PZ is the better bet based on its six-month results and forward projections, with a fair value range of ₦61–₦115.
ositadima1:
Custodian’s 2025 results look strong, but it wasn’t a normal growth year. Total assets expanded sharply from about ₦407bn to over ₦1.0tn, mainly due to acquisitions and a big increase in investments. Although these acquisitions were funded internally, they also brought in large existing assets and liabilities, which significantly inflated the balance sheet.

Profit after tax rose to about ₦67bn, with EPS of 1,119 kobo. However, earnings were heavily supported by investment income and market-related gains of over ₦110bn, compared to an insurance service result of roughly ₦12bn. This shows profits were more investment-driven than underwriting-driven.

Operating cash flow of about ₦478bn looks very strong, but roughly ₦410bn of this came from a sharp rise in trade payables, meaning cash was boosted mainly by delayed payments rather than permanently higher earnings.

Given the mixed quality of earnings and higher sensitivity to markets, I think a reasonable valuation range is a P/E of about 5x–7x, not a high insurance multiple. Applying this to the EPS of ₦11.19 gives a fair value range of roughly ₦56 to ₦78 per share (aj8 style grin). Until earnings stability is proven through a weaker market cycle, 2025 should not be treated as a clean baseline year.

Numbers first, narratives later.
-- ositadima1
CWG, PZ, Custodian as predicted. Custodian should try and get to 80 let me check something.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by GeeKudi: 1:33pm On Feb 20
Has Japaul said they are raising 500bn from the market now? The only news from them is the commencement of gold mining. Why are you lumping issues together?

If they wait and concretize the proposed commencement of gold mining and show evidence before coming to the market for capital raise, you will chase after the shares at N50.

Japaul and Ellah don't look the same imo.

Next boom is insurance.
Make sure you don't chase this time around.
Japaulgold should be a lesson to us.

Look at them(insurance) at very low prices now.

We may see a mad bull on them starting from next week.

We have said enough just like we said on Japaul.

If you miss Japaul, don't miss insurance.
Most of them will still do like Japaul
LOCO Suffer no dey tire you huh

By the time insurance sector will start moving ,. You would have migrated to and start marketing the banking sector.

Better stay one place and make the best out of it instead of moving up and down like a vagabond.. angry

The N100bn is still big for the company, the best would have been 25-50 billion naira. A company without revenues before wanted to impress the media.

N100 billion is on the high side for Ellah Lakes based on their current revenue of less than N2 billion.

N20 billion would have been okay

I only indulge in jijo or trading( portfolio reshuffling) with living stocks(companies with good financial health and long dividend history).

The company that paid interest had a successful offer.

Even though Ellah Lakes offer was not successful they would have also spent close to a billion Naira on the offer.

I don't think they will pay interest on the returned money

Don't do this to yourself. At the time there was no publicly available information that suggested that your decision was bad.

This sort of reasoning would only damage you in the future

Make them let me grab my 20m units in peace so I can relax for just 30-40% profit. I wont be selfish, I promise. grin
