You are looking at marriage from only one perspective, marriage is more than "to feel secure and complete". Marriage offers many benefits and advantages to both men and women, just that we often ignore these benefits or lack proper way to articulate them.
The most important benefit of marriage to me personally is avoiding loneliness throughout your entire life. When one is down emotionally or sick or is in trouble, the feeling of knowing that you have someone who feels the same way and believe that they're in it together is enough to get one through difficult times.
Many Nigerians don't realise early enough until it is too late that the older we become as human beings, the more the society isolate and discard us, even our beloved children that we sacrificed so much for. Ones only assured hope is our significant other because children will leave your house one day to set up their own families which you're not going to be part of.
I look at the benefits of marriage in old age more than in our young age when we still have options and leverage here and there. Marriage should be looked at like an old wine

..they should just try and get a child..get a guy or boyfriend to impregnate them...at least get a child or children .and have rest of mind even if at the end she cannot get a husband ..they are many single mothers that do not have a husband but still happy to have a child or children even without a husband and they take care of their children... and when the child or children grow up to be adult and successful they do not forget the sacrifice of their mother and make their mother to enjoy the things of life and she will enjoy the fruits of her labour

The region where they came from may have played a role in this situation. On this platform a lady once said she dated her guy for some years and the love was there but when the guy too her to his parents the mother asked which part of the country she is from and she gladly told mama, from that moment her countenance changed and untill she left the house she never saw mama again and eventually mama rejected her.
