People that will come and do listing by introduction and start from full bid for days.
From henceforth I'll be on predatory lookout for listings by introduction

The only stock/stocks I can buy at current price without seeing their results is Zenith
I added more Transcorp last week with results expected this new week. I don’t trade much for now. So styles are different.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Sunrisepebble: 5:28pm On Feb 22
I’m not a trader. I’m a tradinvestor grin
I think I should add to Transcorp too to be honest. The valuation is still ok at current price, but I bought quite a lot between 44-47 already

Something I've been waiting for like a HAWK
emmanuelewumi:
People interest in Dangote Refinery shares will rather keep or save their funds till June.

I foresee a situation whereby people will book profits from NGX in order to participate in Dangote Refinery Initial Public Offer

Started buying TRANSCORP from the N7.5 PO and later averaged down to about N1 before reconstruction. Decided to stop the bad habit of not averaging up based on prospects. As I missed averaging up on PRESCO that my cost remain about N8.

NNPC holds about 7.25% (on behalf of Nigerians).

Not sure how this % plays out eventually...

mikeapollo:
But that is the current holding before the public offe. We don't know what percentage he is going to release to the public yet.
He may give 22.5% or more to the public while he keeps like 60-70% to himself

Yeah. But some companies may want to see what they can get from the public before Dangote comes. But most would try and avoid c June/July or shortly after that time.

Ellah Lakes offer came before Presco, what happened at the end of the day.

People will save and prepare for the public offers they are interested in

This is the season of lamentations of monkey owners!

Like Ellah Lekos, like Zirchis, like Japaulwood. cheesy
1) Do you have Japaul to dump on me, abeg?

2) Ellah to the moon, when it bottoms out.
The strong allure of the sector, plus Preskomu success contagion, will still drive the bus, powerfully.

Only the jijo-minded will understand.

Enter with Gamble funds.

cool

People like me. Waiting to get UBA and access dividend or appreciation from pre-dividend run. Plan to go in hard on Dangote refinery.

Investors would be allowed to subscribe via brokers? I have not participated in any IPO but that would be a good one to start.

.

Share price driven by scarcity alone is extreme market manipulation and SEC needs to address or stop listing by introduction.

Former Morgan Capital MD, the late Mr Dipo, recommended NAHCO to us 3yts ago when it was trading at sub #10 though we didn't buy much quantity.

He later relocated to US and we lost him last year Dec. MAY HIS GENTLE SOUL REST 8N PEACE!
This is really shocking. Peter.

The last time I spoke with him was June 2025.

I chatted with him in October 2025, and he did not respond.

I am shocked to hear this thing.

May his gentle soul rest in peace and comfort his family. Amen.

Morgan Capital Stockbroker has not notified their customers that their MD had passed away or that he had resigned from them before relocating?

It is a sad news. cry

It is a public offer and not a listing by introduction
The challenge with this is that there will be very high oversubscriptions and it will end up in prorating.
I remember the dangote flour mills public offer about 19 years ago, if my memory serves right, I had about 90% of my fund returned after holding the fund for quite a while. I feel the refinery IPO will be far worse due to the current hype and anticipation
Subscribers are only guaranteed the minimum units that will be advertised.

A few stocks I'd be watching closely in this week's trading session on the NGX.

Aliko will list another 10% by intro as I heard, and keep the rest.

Scarcity will launch the stock price to the moon, and carry Aliko up like an escalator into the top 10 of Forbes and/or Bloomberg wealth list.

That is the game, and nobody's heart should be failing.
It will still always be available like other stocks, at a price.
If it is 100 units you can afford, then that one will be sitting on the shelf of your pfolio like a trophy, comforting you.

DD will not be necessary.
