Peterking. I Hope our star boy will continue from where he stopped on Friday!!
I hope so too. But, i see a lot of profit takers this week. I intend to hit 100% gain in the stock before i pull out my capital. Then leave the profit to make more profit or remain stagnant. grin

The day's market on the NGX is characterized in the first 15 minutes of trade. What I do. I open my “Trades” on the eTrader platform and wait till 10.15 am, I sort the data according to volume highest to lowest. This would show stocks that are about to shoot up and those being dumped, I just pay attention to only the first page after sorting accordingto volume highest to lowest, I don't scroll down. On this first page, I take note of new entrant stocks, stocks that have been docile or consolidating for a while that..
1. have done 10% green but demand far more than supply….buying. I join the queue provided cash is available.
2. show 10% green with huge supply more than demand..dumped/ profit taking corrections. Especially if the price drops as the market progresses. I walk away or take profit if I wish to

News changes the course of trades. The information once known to the privileged few, the stock will show up as huge abnormally large multiple volume interests. The first 15 minutes help to detect that. Subsequently, I update “Trades” on the platform as sorted every 15 minutes and note new entrants to consider taking a position on.

It's interesting how often this works. Much later the news emerges…e.g Tantalizer and Japaul…NB (profit taking a day before results publication )

A strategy I thought I should share. Do not commit huge funds till you are okay with it.
I thought I should give this a try. But a few questions ;
* What chart do you apply when looking out for the 10% day gain.
* How do you identify your entry and exit point, time or set the time?
What stockbroker that can link you with the NGX etrader.
Regards.
Thanks.

There will be Dangote Fertilizer IPO too. In total, it’s possible the funds needed to mop everything up go reach $3b or N4t.

Na so e go easy to oversub? That’s a lot of liquidity…and it is not the holy grail of companies.
How sure are you about Dangote fertilizer IPO? Any source?

ProphetUtuocha:
Vision Concerning Ellah

I was lifted in the night, and I beheld Ellah as a tall cedar planted by the waters. Her branches spread wide, and the birds of the air found shade in her leaves. Men looked and said, ‘Behold Ellah, strong and unshakable!’

But suddenly a great wind arose from the east, and the roots of the cedar were revealed. They were shallow, feeding not on rock but on dust. And the tree trembled, and its branches snapped, and the birds fled in terror.

Then I saw merchants in the marketplace. They carried scales in their hands, yet the weights were false. They shouted loudly of profit, but their baskets were empty. A voice cried out: ‘Woe to those who trust in Ellah! For her height is pride and her fruit is vanity.’

And it came to pass that fire struck the cedar, and it fell with a crash heard in the farthest cities. Those who traded in her shade tore their garments and cast dust upon their heads, saying, ‘Alas, who shall restore Ellah?’

But to the humble I heard a whisper: ‘Fear not. Though the cedar has fallen, I will be your shelter. Though the market shakes, my rock shall not be moved.’

Note: that which has been revealed has been unveiled. Those who have ears, let them hear!
Wow. !
Don't let Ellah faithfuls call you a "prophet of doom"' ooo
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Sunrisepebble: 6:35am On Feb 23
A stocks price is based off the present value of it’s future cash flow. I’m buying because I see the EPS growing at end of FY26, not because of FY25 result
aj8:
For Transcorp, I would want to see an uptick in the volumes along with the price. PE is 8.65 so an EPS of N6.00 has been priced in. Note….Tomorrow is BM. You may wish to wait. Not unless privileged to insider information. Resistance @53.50 and Support @ 47.15. Insiders haven't shown interest for a while too.

Dangote Refinery shares will end up like Airtel shares when listed after sometime. Thr will be hardly 100k units to move it up.

Releasing 100k units would be a loss unless the person wan to do sadaka

Aliko will list another 10% by intro as I heard, and keep the rest.

Scarcity will launch the stock price to the moon, and carry Aliko up like an escalator into the top 10 of Forbes and/or Bloomberg wealth list.

That is the game, and nobody's heart should be failing.
It will still always be available like other stocks, at a price.
If it is 100 units you can afford, then that one will be sitting on the shelf of your pfolio like a trophy, comforting you.

DD will not be necessary.

Article on Ellahlake as at August 2025.
"...Whichever side of the divide that you belong, always remember that a stock or share is not just a ticker symbol, but part ownership in an actual company. Therefore you should always know your reason for buying such stock (part ownership in the company), and ensure that it aligns with your investment philosophy and holding time horizon, and not just for Fear of Missing Out (FOMO)".

Think about opportunity cost always as an investor. There is no point insisting that you can only make it with one company when there are many better options. Always know when to move to other opportunities.

Early morning, Tori olorun!

Which one be execution again.

By the time this Ellah issue finally ends, there might not be adjectives to use again.

Anything not held by the NNPC is held by Dangote. Otedola’s name is not inside.
NNPC will probably be one of the major institutional investors at/before IPO. Prolly try to get back to the 20% they missed out on before.

These are deep research questions. grin
crownprince2017:
Before the sales, how much does transcorp pay as dividend n how much do they pay after sales.

Ok, since dividend is not the goal, how has it impacted transcorp share price after sales. May be tomorrow ooo but today nothing show just like groundnuts locked up inside bottles, chicken can never taste it.

I will like to know how the minority shareholder have benefitted from that decision.

Interesting. You say all Share index to gain between 0.74 and 0.85% today Monday 23rd. In about 6hrs we'll see the stocks making up the gain shocked.

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Stockhunter: 9:39am On Feb 23
On another scale with advantage of hindsight. There will be more traffic in their business because of political campaigns and movements to places of campaign. Lagos boys and the money bags that have joined their campaign. Moving around 36 states by political parties no be beans and not every one has private jet.
So this year nahco will have increased revenue.

leo1234:
I heard the hotel business and one other business was not included in the last financial report.

Expect more revenue going forward. grin
