Those big companies have the result to justify their price. They also have fair distribution and their shares are often available to buyers in the open market

loss kwa? the problem with Airtel is the dual listing which results in a huge chasm in values quoted in both market.

SEPLAT is almost 4x in price, yet people still release 100k units.

SEPLAT has also suffered long periods of price stagnation due to this dual listing as well. Like over 6 months with no movement.

Let's be very honest, ELLAH & ZICHIS suspension played a massive role.

The stock should be sold to investors on a first come, first serve basis and no investor can buy more than a certain quantity during the period of the listing by introduction.


I definitely know that SEC and NGX will come with stricter rules

I agree there might be a need to review the rules but I don't agree they should scrap listing by introduction.

Just buy Ellah at its lowest price POSSIBLE (e.g. N0.5 - N1) then wait for the company to turn around in a couple of years.

Think about opportunity cost always as an investor. There is no point insisting that you can only make it with one company when there are many better options. Always know when to move to other opportunities.

I would be guided by the numbers I see. From the loan conversion to the money wasted on the public offer, a lot of money has been wasted and the numbers for the firm have obviously changed. I need to see the new numbers before I can get an idea as to what the firm is worth.

The company has a lot of value. The management just needs to shut up and focus on running their business. Too much financial engineering going on and not enough actual palm oil business
