Zichis no sabi the game and they didn't calm down to learn it so they got what they deserved
Stealing is stealing, likewise manipulation is manipulation. A lot of stocks are trading at their all time high without justification to their fundamentals. He who comes to equity must come with clean hands. If you punish one without punishing the rest because the rest applied common sense while manipulating their prices, then I don't get.

I have seen people on social media and even Northern brothers becoming interested in Ngx. People have been posting their buy screenshot.

It is obvious the retails are here in large numbers. Is there any chance that we are close to the top?
When you see 96k deals in a single session, you know it's time to turn down the thermostat a bit.

Why the rush on Japaul though? Just because someone said they can bring gold out of the ground doesn't mean it will be an extremely profitable venture.
Because we are in the risk off period now. Every asset class in the world is bleeding to gold because of uncertainty.

Everything is bleeding to gold now.

which includes better framing of the narrative around the business.
True. And they should try hard to start another round of rally. Price follows narrative mostly for speculative asset. The narrative can be sweet but if the price isn't appreciating no one will care

Unless one sees the trading book and can see which parties are trading in the stock, it is advised not to judge to conclusion. I personally don't believe the stock was deliberately manipulated. It could have just been a unique set of circumstances that led to an unusual situation. There is nothing illegal in selling your stock in batches so long as you are not working in concert with the buyer/buyers.

The company announced that their gold processing plant (machines) have arrived Nigeria, to be installed and start operations by May2026. This kind news would move the stock price anywhere in the world, not only NGX!

If investors were to wait until they confirm the profitability of a business venture, there would not NGX or stocks markets anywhere.

What gave people the opportunity to manipulate the share price of NCR huh
I don't have much info on NCR, but it had been listed for years, so maybe there was some privileged information or they had a MM that helped them jerked up the price.
The dynamics are a bit different between a newly listed stock (concentrated in very few, limited hands) and the one that had been listed long ago and fairly distributed amongst investors

At this point it is highly unlikely.

Let me load up more oando bag.

Most peeps currently criticizing have been criticizing the stock with their analysis since it was ₦3.. Even when it got to ₦4.5 retracted back got 10 and Skyed to 17. They still used their method to criticize the business.
So your assertion doesn't hold.
Stock is speculative in nature, even the so called fundamentals are still speculative. If you are in doubt, just one bad news about Nigeria could send Gtco to N10 without minding the fundamentals. It is not their fault that they wanted to cash out big time since bids kept on coming even at a very high price. Value is partially subjective, I can't buy Okomuoil and Presco at their price, but some will buy. Why is Presco trading above N2,000? I know you would answer the sector and their fundamentals, but I tell you, there is no system that says when you have these fundamentals, your stock price should be above N2,000 if not speculation.

Thanks to SEC and NGX for restoring the confidence of investors if not people like me would have started seeing NGX as another ponzi scheme.

Went back to read the narrative, i thought you were referring to Ellah.
if you were referring to Zichis,
I agree then with your initial post, you are correct. Some would have bought Zichis if the price was still low and open to retail. So yes, The bashing is as a result of astronomical high price, quite far from any near term forecasted growth.

As for PRESCO and speculation,
If PRESCO was listed outside Ngx onto the international scene, it will probably be above dollar equivalent of ₦2000+ with the World "speculating" on it.

Base valuation in any market is an earnings multiple X, X being the risk free rate.

risk free rate in Nigeria is about 20%, fair valuation is 5x.

In New York, rates are around 5%, 20x valuation is fair there.
