Was N1,200:$ what he promised Nigerians when he was campaigning to become president? Or was N1,200:$ what he inherited?. Glorification of failure and mediocrity

Ellah has credited me with 1.23% interest. Make the price plummet the more make I buy for floor
Is it really that remarkable? That's barely 5% per annum (offer commenced mid-November, last year). The same as, or maybe less than, what you'd get for leaving your money in a savings account.

I no too gbadu this government but my post was meant to corroborate Awesome J's theory.
Once you realize that "All governments are run by liars and nothing they say should be believed" (I.F. Stone), you wouldn't worry much about electoral campaign promises grin

I wasn't expecting any interest actually, given the whole situation.

"Industry sources say the move aims to reduce volatility and restore confidence across the downstream value chain. Over the past five months, depot operators are estimated to have lost about ₦50 billion due to persistent price fluctuations. Dangote Refinery itself is also said to have absorbed losses exceeding ₦1 trillion during the same period."

Sixty days is almost over. I am patiently waiting for the announcement of dividend, i thought after board meeting companies are expected to roll out the results with corporate actions. I know banks will still have to wait for CBN their regulator. What about others who have no regulator like Dangote Cement, MTNN, Wapco, UCAP, Transcorp etc

Make e no be pre-election abracadabra. Similar appreciation happened sometime in Feb/March 2024 but did not last.
I hope this one is sustained.

Preventing the speedy appreciation as they're doing is as a result of lessons learnt from 2024.

This time, i'm confident of its sustainability.

I also expect 1200-1250 by Q2.

see the management are very greedy they happily and greedily return people money with interest of 1.23%
mikeapollo:
grin grin
But really, if they are truly cash-strapped, then they should be desperate for the IPO money. Such refund by them could mean they have a reliable alternative unless by regulatory compulsion

Well l, there has been a sustained appreciation consistently for the past 7-8months.
The Govt has got to be speared the benefit of doubt.

The CBN is doing a good job but it is still a fragile thing..
The excess dollar is most from FPI chasing short term yield. They can run away as they came leaving us stranded again.

Where do they get the supply from?
From the ones the market maker already have and from the floor of the secondary market.

If the market maker wants ACCESSCORP to get to ₦50 in 2 months ,it will definately be done. The market maker largely controls demand and supply in the secondary market .

He is a business man that has been in business for long.

Second, you cannot under estimate the quotom of data and statistics at his disposal for whatever decision he wants to make. Nobody need to tell Dangote how big Nigeria is.
