He can get one for 500k, resell at 850k. Then continue like that until he open showroom.

Pig farming or Poultry. If he’s focused, he can easily see a 3x return on his capital within a year.

It’s even better if he has a place to stay on-site—that cuts out the heavy costs of logistics and security. If he handles the management himself, the profit margin is insane.

7. EGG DISTRIBUTOR. 5 Crates per clients, needs at least 10-20 clients before he can start earning but once it's starts it doesn't stop. Because it opens other accessible doors.

As someone who seems to have manage a hotel before most definitely he may not be cut out for some hustles that are a bit more rugged.. if he can supply or distribute what moves faster on the shelf without any prejudice attached.. he can build slowly into it.
At the end what matters is the mindset. It's not the business per say but the mindset attached with it. Some people sell only Sand and have mansions, while some people have filling stations and are drowning in debts.

2.Start with half to see how he fare on it (tell him you borrowed him not gift him),let hims sign (not verbal)an agreement that he will return the cash in 2 years and later give him the other half in 6 months.

Let him do is visibility study first every environment has a need the profit will Come from this needs so for example if he is in an area were cooking gas is scarce he can make good money from it.

Just dash him the money and remove eye. 500k is not starting any business for anybody. Oga 500k is £200, if you said 5m maybe then you can say you wanna open small business, eg buy a Korope automatic for 3.9m or manual for 4.3.

Lol, that was how some guy few years ago was always on tv doing advert for his seminar on 1000 businesses you can do with no capital. He use to charge ohh, people will pay and go, he collects their money, gives them motivational talk of how you can turn to dangote by starting small selling eg exporting kolanut, the gives them books he has written. I get your point but in the NG of today, when buys one, selling it off may not come quickly and buyers will term it Nigerian used thereby reducing it value.

A friend of mine opened a phone and accessories business worth over 7 million but lost it all to thieves just after 3 weeks.

So every area will teach you what and how to set up a business in Nigeria.
Some akara sellers and roasted plantain sellers make more money than big expensive boutique owners in same area.
