TARGET TECHNICAL ANALYSIS COMMENTS FOR 24 FEBRUARY 2026
We are happy to see the market opening today.

The optimism for the continuation of the uptrend is high. Today is likely to be a Consolidation day or slightly bearish (but the bears knows that this is not the season for bears, just like we can have few rains in the dry season, few bearish day can happen in a bullish market especially when there is a negative news: Ellahlakes refunding IPO money, Zichis suspension etc).

There is nothing to fear in this market at the moment as long as the market is above the primary support of 193,500 (this is the first river for the vears to cross)
Market closed fairly better than our forecast at -0.06%, but tomorrow's performance will tell us if the seeming stability portrayed today will stay. But from a physical observation of the premier index, things are still shacky. However, tomorrow's forecast/comment will give us what we can hold on to.

GeeKudi:
If an illiterate ask these two questions, then you simply sit them down and tutor them. But coming from a suppossedly lettered fellow, you just ignore because you can see through their veiled curiosity.
You know about the removal of fuel subsidy and the elimination of the arbitrage on the exchange rate by floating the naira, two important policies Nigerians were unanimous about in rescuing the economy and you want someone to start answering these two mischievious questions you are asking?
If you critique like a politician in opposition (they largely suspend their brains while doing so because they must not agree with govt), you are simply begging people to treat you like them.
I don't know when Nigerians were unanimous that removal of fuel subsidy and floating the naira exchange rate would rescue [b] the economy.
Where did you or the govt conduct the opinion polls, census or referendum to arrive at such unanimity? I don't fall for cheap govt lies and silly propaganda!
The people in govt today criticized previous govts when they attempted to remove fuel subsidy and the naira exchange rate weakened against major currencies. True or false?
Why do you guys now expect praises for this govt for the same things they criticized previous govts for? Simple question.!
It is just strange. Can't you take what you gave?
They have to acknowledge that they were wrong in criticizing previous govts first, before people would stop criticizing them for the same actions or policies.

Agreed: Ignore the bile (and the blind faith). What possible paths to winning do you see for Ellah, please?

ositadima1:
The way some people think genuinely surprises me. With all the bashing of Ellah, some were saying it would drop to ₦3 or even ₦1, haba. A few comments were clearly coming from a place of hate and bile, without any attempt to hide it. Statements like “Ellah Lake holders will be executed”, lol , are completely unnecessary....

For the record, I don’t own a single share of Ellah. I just don’t see it as a bad bet yet. They still have possible paths to win.

Thanks for reading.

I thought you had a solid understanding of financials. Take a look at their financial statements and see for yourself that they have the resources to execute, if they stay focused.

Don’t just focus on the cash they’re burning. Also examine the assets and resources they have available. As I’ve said before, and consistently maintained, if they are genuinely working toward a win, they absolutely have the capacity to achieve it with what they currently possess.

Burning cash with limited revenue isn’t necessarily a bad sign for a growth company, provided there is a clear and credible plan. Many successful growth companies have gone through far worse before stabilizing. I can name a few examples if you’d like.

No vex. I'm not as smart as you. So you're assuming they give up on the ARPN acquisition and just grow organically?

We really need to calm down. There are many ways to determine value; it doesn’t have to be only your method. Yes, the capital raise failed, okay. That’s not the end of the company, nor does it automatically mean the end of their proposed acquisition.

It almost feels like some people would physically drag Ellah down if they had the power, just to prove they were right.

For the record, I don’t own a single share of Ellah. I just don’t see it as a bad bet yet. They still have possible paths to win.

Those who may have bought at #13 and forced to sell at #9 n 10 are already being electrocuted..

Only the willfully strong who bought at 13/15 who don't mind time-value of money or alternative good stocks at present can keep the faith until it shoots again to #20+...whenever it will.

any top insurance stocks?? The healthy ones.
All the tier 1 insurance companies are good but some of them already have bloated shares outstanding which I hate.

I like to play the low capitalized ones with improvements in balance sheets, less than 30% free floats.
Only Royalex fits wetin I want in insurance for now until I review again.
If they recapitalize without seeking to raise funds as I am guessing,it will be my best investment in the next 12 months.

Two things, in my limited understanding, would make Dangote Sugar attractive again (for now until plantation mature): if the exchange rate falls to around ₦1,100 or lower, and if interest rates drop to about 10% or below.

We’ve seen this kind of accumulation before, only for the momentum to get crushed back to ₦60 or even lower. Dangote Sugar has a reputation for keeping its results under wraps until the official announcement, so don’t be surprised if the current rally is driven more by hope, and by the strong performance of other Dangote businesses than by hard numbers.
Clearity comes with time, don't be in a haste, just a week the reality will surface. grin grin

Someone said Ellah has a new strategic investor/partner, that's why they rejected the PO funds.
Gaining 3.8% today, in spite of the PO saga, may be indicative of some resilience or news or development in the offing.

📊 Free Float Figures of Japaulgold

Approximately 46.08% of issued shares were free float as at 31st Dec 2025 (about 6.57 billion shares) — from the company’s own filings.
doclib.ngxgroup.com
Some market data providers show higher free-float estimates (around ~91%) depending on methodology and updates from trading sources, but the most conservative and official corporate disclosure is ~46%.
MarketScreener +1
📌 What That Means
A ~46% free float means nearly half of the issued shares are readily tradable on the market.
The remainder is held by substantial shareholders and insiders, including major stakeholders.
doclib.ngxgroup.com
This relatively large free float provides liquidity, but it also gives whales and high-volume traders room to move the price, especially in the absence of strong structural news or fundamental catalysts.

Until you kill what is killing you
Japaulgold remains a Jijo stock .
Be satisfied with any 30-50% you see in every rally.Na only whales dey enjoy the rally unless you can swim with them like Loco.
Loco, all these your lengthy talks on JAPAUL though.
Thought you're no longer in JAPAUL but in insurance...
Haven't seen your update on Royalex since JAPAUL newsletter and rally started.

You're talking like Mr. Manchos now just because JAPAUL commenced rally when the market is waiting for results and some stocks were slammed with warnings, thereby spreading panic sales.

* How much is GTBs OS and free float when it overcame all your so called whales all the way from 18 to be trading @120?
* All your shouting about ROYALEX, where are we now?

JAPAUL has 14B OS with over 9B domiciled with strategic long term investors and institutional investors mostly.
When JAPAUL is ready, no one can stop them, when the share price is out of you guys manipulative reach, we'll see how it goes......
JAPAUL is forging ahead either you like it or not, it's just a matter of time.

How will royal exchange recapitalise without raising funds?
How Will Royal Exchange Recapitalise Before the 31st July Deadline Without Raising Funds?
First, recapitalisation does not automatically mean a public offer.
Royal Exchange Plc already has a growing capital base (shareholders’ funds around ₦7.21bn in FY 2025, up about 15% YoY). That means the company is not starting from zero.
Before July 31, recapitalisation can be achieved through:
1️⃣ Profit Retention (No Dividend Payout)
All FY profits are retained, directly increasing shareholders’ funds and solvency margin.
2️⃣ Asset Revaluation
Insurance firms hold properties and investment assets. Revaluation surplus legally strengthens equity without raising fresh cash.
3️⃣ Capital Restructuring
Bonus issue, share premium adjustments, or internal capital reclassification can improve paid-up capital position without new external money.
4️⃣ Regulatory Recognition of Existing Capital Buffers
If current capital already meets or is close to regulatory threshold, only internal adjustments may be required — not fundraising.
Bottom Line:
If retained earnings + revaluation surplus + existing reserves push them above the required minimum before July 31, there is no need for a public offer.
Recapitalisation is about meeting regulatory capital — not about raising funds for expansion.
Unless the regulator sets a much higher threshold than their current trajectory, dilution is not automatic.
That’s the fact.

Even if they raise funds,it cant lead to excess dilution like others are doing currently just to meet recapitalization.I like their pattern of raising funds but I doubt if they will add extra units to the 8.2B units they already have.

What the Market Expects from Japaul Gold & Ventures Plc to Overpower the Whales — Otherwise the Whales Stay in Control

Right now, Japaul is in a liquidity-driven phase. The large free float gives room for aggressive accumulation, sharp rallies, and systematic distribution. If nothing structural changes, the whales will continue to dictate short-term direction.
For Japaul to truly overpower the whales, the market is expecting the following:
1️⃣ Secured and Structured Funding
Gold production is capital intensive. The company must:
Announce fully secured funding
Avoid weak or under-subscribed capital raises
Possibly attract strategic institutional investors
Once strong hands enter, speculative control reduces.
2️⃣ Tightening the Free Float
The wide free float is the whales’ playground.
Management needs to:
Bring in long-term locked investors
Encourage strategic shareholding stability
Reduce excessive tradable liquidity
When float tightens, price manipulation becomes harder.
3️⃣ Tangible Project Milestones Before May 2026
The production timeline is May 2026. Before then, price strength can only be justified by:
Equipment mobilization updates
Processing plant development progress
Verified gold reserve confirmation
Offtake agreements
Recognized foreign technical partnership
Milestones shift control from traders to fundamentals.
4️⃣ Consistent Transparency & Credibility
Clear quarterly updates
Visible capital deployment
Strong governance signals
Mining stocks re-rate when execution is visible, not when sentiment is loud.
⚖ The Reality
If these structural moves do not happen:
Whales will continue to accumulate at support
Push price into excitement
Distribute into strength
Crash back to strong support
Repeat the cycle
Until fundamentals overpower liquidity, control remains with smart money.
Execution is the only weapon strong enough to silence the whales.

Until these are done,no real movement

Stay off for now and allow it to return to where the whales will accumulate for next ride

Go through my posts you will know I am trying to draw out the mgt by pointing to loopholes in Japaul.
This was how we did it in Ellah lakes few months ago before chuka started the trajectory journey. He has changed but needs professionals with farming experience around him now.He will later succeed.

For Japaul,Watch out, Japaul mgt will soon re-act by dropping another press release and will also work on their free floats in addition. That wing is leaking and goals are being scored through that wing..... grin angry grin

For now,the whales are in control and may like to go very low before another news will surface.

Mercy, calm down, las las I will make sure other Nsempa members will join in the next rally.
