When my younger was in the UK for about a year, and retirned for a short rest, he complained that Nigerian women love money.

That was when i knew he would marry a foreigner.

If Igbos can marry from other cultures outside of Africa, they surely can also marry from the Hausa tribe.

To me it seems like the main deciding factor here is religion.

Yes, but also the history of Nigeria as it concerns Igbos and Hausas.

The thing with Nigeria's cultural diversity is that Igbos rarely marry some ethnic groups, even though they are Christians. Also, many Nigerians don't leave their ethnic enclaves, which is a normal thing anyway. There would always be more indigenes/natives in their dominant lands than anywhere else. So, if an ethnic group is less nomadic/itinerant, it means fewer people of that ethnic group will marry out. Max they will do is marry people from neighbouring states, again, who share cultural similarities with.

The summary is that humans are tribal, and the inter-ethnic/racial marriages we see will always be in the minority, not even a quarter of the entire population.

I'm also in an intercultural or should I say transnational marriage of some sort, because my husband is originally from Lesotho, but grew up here in SA... My tribe and his tribe are somehow closely related, so it wasn't a big deal for me.

But I'm not gonna lie, I somehow tend to feel threatened by those ladies from Lesotho... ... I don't even care about SA Sotho ladies, it's always those ones from Lesotho that are giving me sleepless nights whenever I think about them... Those ladies are beautiful...🤦🤦🤦...
