Iran just making noise . I thought they had strong strategic plans to make the fight long sef

That war won't even last as expected. Iran would have just calm down. TRUMP no ry joy...

As for NGX... Let me just keep quiet because of my monies in OANDO
Mpeace:
I already gave up on the naira. Lol.
But if the naira should gain from this war, I will just transfer the few in my account to yours.

Such as unfair far. It has not even started and they have already eliminated the "supreme" military commander. Who will now lead the troops of one of the largest oil producers.

Hmm oil will climb if this war should stretch

I don’t understand the assumption logic. Do you know the reason for the quadrupling and doubling?
Look at where they were coming from in 2023/2024 with high interest payments on their FX related debt, higher energy costs with FX depreciation and weak demand. 2025 they made adjustments to pricing, fx stabilized, some paid down their debt and started having positive finance cost. I don’t see a huge driver for them to achieve that level of growth next year.
True. As a matter of fact profit after tax can even moderate to 300bn or increase a bit.
Q4 PAT is even lower than q3 for bua cement showing some sign of cool off

Mankind2024:
The brokers hold significant leverage in their push for custody rights or platform fees, because the government is heavily banking on Capital Gains Tax (CGT) revenue and is exploring ways to integrate brokers' platforms with the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) system for seamless tracking.
If the government pushes ahead with this aggressive ("wicked"wink tax rollout, brokers are essentially the only entities with the ready infrastructure to sync purchase and sale prices (and thus calculate gains) directly with the NRS platform. This gives them strong negotiating power.
The government is well aware of how innovative and resourceful Nigerians can be in navigating (or avoiding) taxes, so they're aggressively exploring every possible avenue in this "EMILOKAN"-style emergency tax overhaul to maximize compliance and collections.
In short, brokers aren't just intermediaries—they're now a critical gateway for tax enforcement in this new regime, especially for stocks, crypto, or other assets where transaction data needs centralized reporting. This positions them to extract concessions like fees or custody roles in exchange for cooperation.
Stockbrokers can't charge you custody fees. CSCS is the custodian, reason why some of the taxes and commissions paid during trading goes to CSCS, NGX, SEC and Stockbrokers.

If you have a portfolio management agreement with your Stockbroker you might be charged a custodian fee based on the value of your portfolio

Mr Mega please don’t kill them.
They entered FY25 with accumulated losses of about N607bn. Profit was N1.1trn The Maximum dividend after clearing accumulated losses was roughly N24 per share. They paid N20. 83% payout. I think they’ve done well

megawealth01:
MTN suppose pay more than they did... I was expecting 25 naira from MTN but nothing spoil. I have calculated what to invest the loot into now I have to rely on Alhaji for that... NGX sef

I was expecting 75 naira from them both to meet up with my expectations...
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by megawealth01: 1:04pm On Feb 28
So I should expect at least #42 next dividend?

More than.
I will honestly be surprised if they do anything less than N50. My assumption is N75 EPS, and with 80% payout ratio. N60 DPS
The parent company will want to extract more value from Nigeria after years of losses, which will be good for us the minority shareholders. They wanted to sell some of their stake before but with CGT, it would make sense to just extract money through dividends

Politics is a game... I often laugh when people think that politicians care about them...

I decided to build GENERATIONAL WEALTH in 2020 after I participated actively in the ENDS*R protest. I narrowly escaped death. If I was in NAIJA, I will never protest against any government. I will just mind my business...

I'm focused on making life better for many as it's not my calling to protest for this nation. People like sowore etc are destined for that and I can't take it away from them...

Interested members should read this and get ready for daily, weekly and monthly updates on LOCO INSURANCE & INDEX SUMMARY FOR TRADERS 👇
👇 👇 👇
Loco Insurance & Index Summary for Traders tracks the entire NGX Insurance sector — not just one company.

Why this matters:
If the sector is weak, most breakouts fail.
If the sector is strong, momentum spreads fast.

Loco monitors:
✓Key index levels (1,300 major support / 1,400 breakout trigger)
✓Sector-wide volume strength
✓Tier 1 insurance leadership confirmation
✓Gainers vs losers (sector breadth)
✓Early accumulation or distribution signals

This helps traders:
Avoid bull traps
Enter early before full breakout
Trade with sector strength, not emotions
No hype.
No stock promotion.
Just structure, volume, and confirmation.

Next is weekly summary 👇

Oil stocks so you can escape from oando aby?

Insurance is already at a psychological support 1330 and currently at 1,359, approaching resistance 1,380 and breakout @ 1,400.

We will confirm breakout in the coming weeks.

Better look for one of the 10 insurance stocks listed and position yourself before you join on breakout.
Though it's a short term breakout sha but you can make something before the big breakout
