Nigeria spends a whole lot of money on military recruitment, training and etc but the female soldiers remain more in the barrack than hitting active operation grounds (egg Sambisa) like the men do. It's looking like they are just there to keep taking salaries and etc etc. If they are meant not to do what male soldiers do..numbers for numbers, why still the massive recruitment? Why? PS: If 100 soliders have been kpaied this year by terrorists, it usually ends up that 96% are male soldiers. And the 4% undisclosed are still male soldiers.. when scrutinized. |

And yet threads about the deployment of female security operatives to mission theaters have been created on Nairaland. Stories of captured female troops have also been created on Nairaland. Why do so many people like to create threads and make definite statements that are based on complete ignorance?? It’s always better to observe and learn when a topic is outside one's expertise. While sharing links is helpful, it doesn't change the factual errors in your response. As I mentioned in my post, the numbers speak for themselves—the ratio of men to women deployed is nowhere near equal. Claiming they are balanced is simply not supported by the facts. Unless you have "links" showing the equilibrium and debunking my post, I'd suggest this post as a great opportunity for you to learn what you do not see on black and white. Every opinion isn't political. naptu2:I'll check your links and respond. 1. Not operation ground = https://www.nairaland.com/4748497/female-nigerian-soldier-praying-rifle 2. This video you posted is 2018. It is false because I was in Borno State in 2018 and it's only male soldiers that were deployed. This video is more of a charade. = https://www.nairaland.com/4880489/female-nigerian-troops-deployed-fight 3. Can you imagine this nonsense?? This guy falsely claimed that female soldiers were not deployed to the battlefield (I mean, just look at the title of the thread), he was proved wrong and now he is talking about ratio! What a useless attempt to shift the goalpost. Not only does he create threads based on complete ignorance, but he also doesn't have the integrity to admit when he's wrong, instead he runs from his initial position! (Talkimg nonsense about ratio as if the number of males and females in the armed forces is the same). chatinent: |

So who are you reporting to now? There is always room for you to learn. Most of the links you posted doesn't answer my question either. I cross checked and responded to some above. naptu2:Do you ? You do more of trying to be always right than actually being right on Nairaland always. |

It's a good observation and i have once pondered in it. Naturally, men by far outnumber women in the armed forces. Bad as usual, they bear the greatest risks. From 2010 to date, I can't remember reading of a female military officer killed in action. On the other hand, KIA are in the thousands. As an African it isn't a bad thing because men are raised with a mindset of shielding women from harm even if it means risking their lives. What I don't like is the unfounded entitlement of some womenfolk near the corridors of power who always want juicy positions on a platter of gold. Their argument seem to centre around men vs women. A typical example is the bill for reserved seats for women in the national assembly or the so-called 35% affirmative action for female representation. |

Lets stop deceiving ourselves Biko. Even in the 'saner climes', how many of their infantry troops are female?? Izit these ones that will wake the whole neighborhood at the sight of a cockroach that any serious nation will depend on?? Since you've been seeing soldiers at the warfront in modern times, how many of them have been females Don't let them use their clout chasing, social media validation-seeking pixes cajole u abeg. naptu2:While the men are getting their azzes blown off in the danger.zones, these ones are posing with rifles! And it's not only that their original premise is wrong (Nigerian female soldiers have fought at the war front, there are many videos of them fighting), but they don't even know the duties of a soldier. Imagine saying that the country is wasting money to train female soldiers that will just sit at the barracks. These people probably need to read my military qualifications series in order to know what a soldier does. |
| Re: Why Are Nigerian Female Soldiers Not Sent To Operation Grounds? by naptu2: 9:11am On Mar 05 |
It reminds me of the guy that thought that soldiers are only promoted based on how they perform in battle. That would mean that no soldier is promoted when there is no war. |

Naptu2, why did you block me? I thought you were trying to be constructive? You remodified your comment, and deleted my comment without my authorisation. Then you banned me because I didn't agree to your opinions. So the ban button is for people who don't share your views, no matter how wrong they are? This comment broke no rules. @seun, is this your new pattern of free speech where people's posts are modified and deleted...then Nairaland banned me for merely not agreeing to an opinion? To the aforementioned, like I said, it's not every topic you should rush into with your half-baked opinions flushed out with links with an intent to solidify it. With or without links, what's wrong cannot be right.

I am in support of well-trained female soldiers to be deployed to the battlefield. They should take roles like to keep guard, do undercover and involve in containing pockets of terrorists resistance. The way it is, the female officers are just there to collect salary, work in administrative office and to be part of parade. That is why top military officers turn them to sexmates. Or have we forgotten that story of the female soldier who complained on social media and even went to court for sexual harassment? If only she was in Sambisa, that case would never have happened. |

Please Naptu2. You have the respect of the intelligent community on Nairaland. Don't bother with those in the opposite group. The day Chatient was defending a r*pist on FP, he proved his worth. Wasn't surprising same guy came to advertise academic fraud by writing thesis for students. If not for Nairaland, someone like that shouldn't be able to even write to you, Naptu2. naptu2: |

Female personnels are mostly in the background even on the operation ground or war. The key point is that, they are usually not at the front-attack of any style. naptu2: |

Anyone who thinks I'm going to engage him is wasting his time. I have realised that this thread is infected with people who are using multiple accounts to spew dribble. As the OP has shown, they will keep moving the goalpost when you expose the errors in their post. I have no time to waste on such non sense. |
