I know Nigerian men who have done almost similar. Stopping just short of killing their families because they believe they're in love with another woman. They're so infatuated but then start seeing the setbacks (less money, people judging their decision, the stress and toll of divorce) and want to start afresh with their newfound love. So they're ready to destroy anything in their way to protect the new love. I'm so in love now and saved by my new peace of mind!".

And the new found love never lasts or never works out well.

The worst relationship/marriage to be in is with a cheating quiet spouse....they are wereys....the purported dont know how to handle it...May God keep wereys away from us.

Selfishness, Cowardliness, Insecurities, lack of with women, especially when they were younger

What they didn't get to do as young men, they have a glow-up (money, looks, Chris Watts was both), women start flocking to them, they believe they're now one of the Cool Guys/Bad Guys instead of being "Nice Guys" (who were getting walked over) and fall prey to manipulative, damaged women.
Women who other men had discarded and can smell his insecurities a mile away.

I remember this IG video of a hot white (blonde, young, pretty) female bartender and she used to pay her bills with these guys. She said she never went after the married men hitting on her (lion pursuing lion) but would go after the quiet guys wearing their wedding rings complaining about their wives (lion hunting deer).

The quiet ones usually get carried away with their emotions and think what is an infatuation is great love. They also don't want wahala (too cowardly to admit they want to cheat), plus they don't want to look like bad guys, so they make up stories: "my wife was a narcissist, abusive, hated my family, never gave me peace"

The Manipulative Other Woman will give them ultimatums to leave their wives (remember, she's a damaged person and her ego is soothed by having that much control over a man, after more experienced men have dealt with her).

So they'll leave their wives and then find out the hard way what they've done.

And pushed to the wall, the deeply disturbed ones become Chriss Watts.
