Summarize attached Bloomberg report in one word please.

Why suspend licenses? it is for greater good of the nation and benefit of ordinary Nigerians.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

According to people here, Oando is always about to move up after Wale Tinubu performs some sorcery or manipulation. E don tire me. Reminds me of dogecoin subreddit. After the crash, those guys kept gassing themselves up that the coin was about to moon meanwhile I sold almost immediately it dipped.

Please make Una go buy Aradel or Seplat or something that actually makes money.
Like seriously. Getting Tired of this Oando shyte. 😡

I think there are three major forces preventing Oando’s price from rising.

First, most of the recent buyers appear to be traders looking for quick profits. They want to cash out fast, people like Peter, for example. Any news that does not strongly support the stock can easily trigger a rapid exit.

Second, some investors are taking profits because of the rights issue. If you are confident that you can obtain a good quantity at ₦50, then selling anything above ₦50 plus brokerage fees is essentially locking in free profit.

Third, there are long-term holders who may want to exit and redeploy their capital into stronger companies. The truth is that Oando is not performing particularly well on a fundamental basis, even though it still has potential.

When I opened Morgan’s iTrade this morning around 10:20 and saw the large number of offers compared to bids, I immediately suspected the price would fall today.

The easiest way for Oando’s price to move upward would be sustained positive news. For example, a major spike in oil prices, maybe to $180–$200, could help. But, even that scenario comes with its own set of problems.

I have attached the next paragraph to your earlier SC.

Insurers have also withdrawn insurance cover. Hence many ships have stopped loading.
All eyes are on US to start escorting vessels through the Strait with their naval might which they are yet to start doing.
But Trump keeps calming the markets with assurances causing the dropping of prices.

I think the halt in import licence is good. It helps stabilise the naira.
Yes dangote will benefit more, but he isn't the only beneficiary.
There are smaller private refineries here and there also benefiting.

That thing you didn't value cost me money to build and I can't do without it in as much as I trade the insurance sector at the moment.
I thought it could be useful to someone else who has no time to check the daily summaries of Ngxins index and stocks in the sector.

I will save the Nsempa page from tomorrow and face our monkey hunting business squarely.

No abeg. For one, it's too frequent and too long. Let us breathe. For another, he's usually pushing stocks of companies with weak competitive positions, low trading liquidity, and high volatility. I'm willing to bet that most people who follow him blindly will lose money on average.

That's the ish..
They aren't aware the MAJOR factor that strengthed our naira is ALMOST 0% REDUCTION OF PETROL IMPORTS.
Dem want our naira plummets back to 1,600-2000 just to punish Dangote and stop Monopoly.

Why can't others just build refineries.
Solves the twin issue of forex and Monopoly..

Is this too hard to grasp? undecided

Check and see if ngx give their market data API for free.
This is a service I subscribed with huge amount and use another paid app to generate the daily summaries for free to the house I belong to, and someone who can't give this type of services for free is here criticizing my hard labour.
I have made money in custodian,Fortis, sovereign ins using this index which is carefully built to help traders know where to Chanel funds for immediate gain.

This service is no more available at Nsempa.
Only monkey hunting business is good here and it's also working because traders make use of speculations as a tool to trade and nobody can stop the momentum when it starts.
Back to monkey hunting.Follow me with caution to avoid Loco cashed out on me.We are traders and we swing with whales

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Sunrisepebble: 9:50pm On Mar 10
I don’t really understand the price increase that’s between a 10-50% jump from last year. Did the cost of their inputs rise by anywhere near that?

"A new policy has been introduced that bars the issuance of import licenses “where local production is sufficient,” and they will now only be granted when needed — which is not currently the case, George Ene-Ita, the regulator’s spokesman, said by phone on Tuesday."
Thanks @KARLTOM for digging out the "omitted" rejoiner.

Key statement:
"and they will now only be granted when needed — which is not currently the case".

I think only when one can prove why importation is needed currently and yet licence hasn't been issued.
Then you can have a case against "Monopoly".

And the chief regulator and supposed custodian of the policy says it's not currently the case..so why the ish?

I think it had to do with the current transportation increase due to the ongoing War and logistics involved to building sites and remote areas.

👍abeg make ee reduce Oo.

For "Monopoly crew"
Assuming crude price had reduced and yet Gantry price and retail prices do not reduce,
This would have been a good case and probably become an abuse as you envisage and fear.

The regular will trigger the activation of that Importation Policy...

So seems there's a check against DR in place by the regulators and PIA act while other Major competitors are on their way to existence.

......should have posted the policy instead rather than the article. It should allay and calm your fears on Monopoly.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by chimex38: 10:16pm On Mar 10
As Nigerians we know where we're coming from..
Prior to DR, some of those imports don't make it to the populace.

They are either still Smuggled out outside the country to Niger and Benin Republic for Arbitridge or hoarded for scarcity and further inflation of retail price.
