Market has been bad for days now.

Suddenly, all the analysis that can lead to paralysis, all the expert and guru opinions seem to be drying up on a daily basis. You come to this section of Nairaland and after two hours of being away for a while, the same page remains un- turned.

The likes of the fellow always shouting Failed economy and disgraced president and the others have disappeared.

Las las, everybody go dey alrighty.

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Mankind2024:
I advised Loco back in 2025, but he ignored it. Now the desperation to bail out is becoming obvious for everyone to see. Many members have already noticed both the panic and his remarkable talent for “monkey hunting.”
The more he floods the forum with ChatGPT-generated opinions and analysis about the insurance sub-sector, the deeper those stocks seem to sink into the red. At this point, the best thing Loco can do is step back, restrategize, and start focusing on fundamentally sound companies. Then let Mr. Time do the heavy lifting if he truly wants to build wealth and maybe one day qualify for the N1B-gang portfolio.
Jokes aside, Loco should be embarrassed. Going from being a trader to turning into a full-time stock promoter is not a good look at all. His story is beginning to resemble Cathie Wood of ARK Invest — a classic case of how conviction can slowly turn into self-inflicted wealth destruction.
Hopefully he can stop spamming this forum with hourly promotions of insurance stocks.
The real irony of the market is this: the exact day Loco finally dumps his insurance portfolio will probably be the same day the entire sector turns green. This is called "The village people effect" in NGX.

I pity you a lot.
With Loco index I made money by picking custodian at N66 and sold at N81

I bought Fortis at 50kobo through deal and sold at N1.20

I bought sovereign ins as a momentum stock at 2.20 and sold at 2.55 and 2.60.

I have another insurance stock name withhold which momentum has been confirmed waiting for breakout.

Which one is village people guys?

I blame myself sharing my index summary with Nincompoops instead of quietly picking and selling stocks for short term gains till recapitalization processes kicks off.

Some of you will never make money until you change from your evil thoughts.

What do you expect from Street-fighter that was trapped in OANDO since last year while he kept saying NGX has expired. Tinubu regime has expired not knowing it is his ideology that expired

lately, Out of our church mind we decide to help his ministry via pushing OANDO to circa #55 before you could say Jack Robinson the noisemaker bailed out and ran as fast as his legs can carry him. grin grin grin

I think there are three major forces preventing Oando’s price from rising.

First, most of the recent buyers appear to be traders looking for quick profits. They want to cash out fast, people like Peter, for example. Any news that does not strongly support the stock can easily trigger a rapid exit.

Second, some investors are taking profits because of the rights issue. If you are confident that you can obtain a good quantity at ₦50, then selling anything above ₦50 plus brokerage fees is essentially locking in free profit.

Third, there are long-term holders who may want to exit and redeploy their capital into stronger companies. The truth is that Oando is not performing particularly well on a fundamental basis, even though it still has potential.

When I opened Morgan’s iTrade this morning around 10:20 and saw the large number of offers compared to bids, I immediately suspected the price would fall today.

The easiest way for Oando’s price to move upward would be sustained positive news. For example, a major spike in oil prices, maybe to $180–$200, could help. But, even that scenario comes with its own set of problems.
Thanks for the insight 🙏

OandO

CRO Consortium (Calypso Refinery Operations Ltd), one of the three bidders for the lease and operation of the Petrotrin Refinery is in active discussion with the government of T&T.

Last month, PM Kamla Persad-Bissessar, met with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and restarting the refinery formed part of their discussions with support from the United States Department of Energy.
