Janosky:Dude without the Spirit of God, you can't discern/understand or interpret the Bible that's the truth. The Bible is a close without His Spirit in you period |
| Re: Is Jesus God? by MaxInDHouse(m): 7:08pm On Mar 09 |
So how do you know the person who is having the holy spirit? Is it by following what is widely accepted but fruitless?🙂 ichuka: |
| Re: Is Jesus God? by Janosky: 7:13pm On Mar 09 |
ichuka: If you had a choice you won't allow John 20:17 in your own Bible. Oga, do you have more knowledge than Jesus Christ whose teaching at John 20:17 & John 13:16 conflicting against your claims? Oga, is the knowledge of John 13:16 & John 20:17 inspired by holy spirit? |

| Re: Is Jesus God? by Truthseeker10: 7:50pm On Mar 09 |
MetalJigsaw:1)You keep on dodging the first question. It seems you don't know the Authorities that The father has that the son does not have after you claimed that the father has more Authorities than the son. 2)So if Partaking in the nature of God and of his energies does not make us equal to God, Why do you claim that Jesus is equal to the Father even though he shares in the divine nature? |
| Re: Is Jesus God? by Truthseeker10: 7:57pm On Mar 09 |
MetalJigsaw:So you're saying that there is no difference in meaning in Greek between the "God" used for Jesus in John 1:1 and the "god" used for the Devil in 2 Corinthians 4:4?

Truthseeker10:He don japa!🤣 |
| Re: Is Jesus God? by MetalJigsaw(m): 9:15pm On Mar 09 |
Truthseeker10:The word God is a title, even false gods are called by it. That's why God is used to identity Yahweh (Almighty God). Theos for God, theos for other contexts. |
| Re: Is Jesus God? by ichuka(m): 10:46pm On Mar 09 |
Janosky:Dude,I have been here over a decade and you close to that. These issue has been trashed for years here. Back and forth. The only thing I will say without quoting verses,is,the Bible is the word of God, and the word of God is Spirit, to discern/understand that Spirit, you must have a Spirit in the same wave length. Dude that's the truth. Because am imams can discuss better than some of you guys regarding the Bible, why? Because of there self understanding. |
| Re: Is Jesus God? by Truthseeker10: 7:21am On Mar 10 |
MetalJigsaw:What's the difference in Greek meaning between 'Theos" and "theos" according to the screenshot below? You just claimed above that even false gods are called "God". So what makes you think that calling Jesus "God" means that he is the Almighty God?
|
| Re: Is Jesus God? by MetalJigsaw(m): 12:31pm On Mar 10 |
Truthseeker10:God is used in reference to Almighty God while god is for other contexts like false gods. I hope you get it now |
| Re: Is Jesus God? by Truthseeker10: 3:00pm On Mar 10 |
MetalJigsaw:Do they have any difference in meaning in Greek according to the screenshot below? Can't you see below that "god" also mean "Supreme Divinity"? You yourself claimed that false gods are called "God". So why are you confusing yourself?
|
| Re: Is Jesus God? by MetalJigsaw(m): 3:21pm On Mar 11 |
Truthseeker10:Can't you see that all the meanings are already being stated in your pic? However if you want to identify Almighty God you use capital "G" While small letter "g" is used for the other contexts (rulers, false gods and so on). |
| Re: Is Jesus God? by MaxInDHouse(m): 3:58pm On Mar 11 |
MetalJigsaw:So it's not mandatory but anyone can use discretion shey?🙂 |
| Re: Is Jesus God? by Truthseeker10: 10:11am On Mar 12 |
MetalJigsaw:1)So according to the pic. What's the difference in meaning between "God" and "god"? 2)you also claimed that false gods can use capital "G" as "God" . So who are you trying to confuse? |
| Re: Is Jesus God? by MetalJigsaw(m): 11:54am On Mar 12 |
Truthseeker10:With due respect it seems you have comprehension problems. Did I say false gods can be addressed using the capital "G"? Check again. @ your first paragraph, again and again, the context determines what you mean by "god". But "God" is usually used for Yahweh. |
| Re: Is Jesus God? by MetalJigsaw(m): 12:26pm On Mar 12 |
If you don't believe that God is triune, multipersonal then you're not a Christian. Don't even count yourself as one in any sense. The Bible clearly teaches both in the old and new testament that Yahweh consists of the Father, Son and the Holy spirit coeternal and coequal as God. That is what we call the trinity. The word isn't found there doesn't mean the concepts are not there either. The word is only a term used to identity the concept itself, which is actually the attribute of God. Christ is king! I'm looking to have an intellectually honest and respectful discussion on this with anyone who believe the opposite. Shalom |

MetalJigsaw:“Listen, O Israel: Jehovah our God is one Jehovah" Deuteronomy 6:4 In most Bible the divine name has been removed and replaced with the title "LORD" using the upper case while all other people including Jesus is referred to as "Lord" That's why Psalms 110:1 says: The LORD says to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.” Peter the apostle explained that Jesus is the small Lord that God Almighty has given that position to rule over earth as it has been promised long ago! Act 2:34-36 So Jesus himself quoted Moses saying the Almighty God (JEHOVAH) is ONE JEHOVAH or LORD as rendered in your copy of the Bible! Mark 12:29🙂 |

MaxInDHouse:In the same passage, Jesus said he's the Lord of David who is the ancestor of the scibes questioning him. How Can David Call His Descendant Lord? #35 Then Jesus answered and said, while He taught in the temple, “How is it that the scribes say that the Christ is the Son of David? #36 For David himself said by the Holy Spirit: ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.” ’ #37 Therefore David himself calls Him ‘Lord’; how is He then his Son?” Jesus is God along with the Father John 17 v 5 John 17:5 reads: "And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was. This verse marks the end of Jesus' earthly ministry, as He prays for the restoration of His pre-incarnate, eternal glory and divine fellowship with the Father. Key Details About John 17:5: Context: This is part of Jesus' "High Priestly Prayer" in the Upper Room Discourse, just before His crucifixion. Significance: It highlights Christ's divinity, pre-existence, and the Trinity, as He existed before creation. Jesus is obviously not asking for new glory, but rather the full |
| Re: Is Jesus God? by MaxInDHouse(m): 8:39pm On Mar 12 |
MetalJigsaw:Jesus is Lord to David because Jesus is the only person God intended to make King over the whole earth {Isaiah 9:6} and he has existed before Abraham as a spirit being in heaven that is why David referred to Jesus as Lord but Jesus himself has a greater LORD who ordered him to sit at his right hand and that LORD who is above Jesus is ONE not THREE. That's the point! |
| Re: Is Jesus God? by MetalJigsaw(m): 8:43pm On Mar 12*. Modified: 9:00pm On Mar 12 |
MaxInDHouse:So, the Lord of David is not a mere man, and he shares the same Glory with his father, correct? |
| Re: Is Jesus God? by MaxInDHouse(m): 9:02pm On Mar 12 |
MetalJigsaw:Angels aren't humans and they shared the same nature with God as spirits that's why the Bible calls them sons of God (morning stars) |
| Re: Is Jesus God? by MetalJigsaw(m): 10:21pm On Mar 12 |
MaxInDHouse:Do the angels share the same glory with the Father llike Jesus proclaimed? If yes, please lets see the verse that states that. |
| Re: Is Jesus God? by MaxInDHouse(m): 10:34pm On Mar 12 |
MetalJigsaw:What type of glory was Jesus talking about? An American in his own country share the same citizenship with Donald Trump o!😟 |
| Re: Is Jesus God? by MetalJigsaw(m): 10:44pm On Mar 12 |
MaxInDHouse:In other words, no answer. There is nowhere in the Bible that states that, correct? You're just adding your own monologue. If we claim to be a Christian We need to be as honest as we can when it comes to God's word. The truth should always come first. Jesus is our great God!. Titus 2:13 |
| Re: Is Jesus God? by MaxInDHouse(m): 5:42am On Mar 13 |
MetalJigsaw:Angels are God's sons and Jesus is one of them that is what the Bible teaches consistently! |
| Re: Is Jesus God? by Truthseeker10: 8:30am On Mar 13 |
MetalJigsaw:Below is the evidence in the screenshot. In your words: "The word "God" is a title, even false gods are called by it." So if False gods are called "God" and they are not Almighty God, why do you think that Jesus called "God" makes him the Almighty God?
|
| Re: Is Jesus God? by MetalJigsaw(m): 12:21pm On Mar 13 |
Truthseeker10:You should have understood that I meant the WORD itself is a title. And it has different meanings depending on the context its being used in. However, identifying God Almighty requires a capital "G" while other contexts are addressed using the small letter "g". At this point If you still don't get it, I can't help you bro. I've done my bit. |
