Their heavy debt remains a concern.

Financial Performance (FY 2025)
Despite the operational growth, the financial results for the year ending December 31, 2025, were volatile:

Revenue: ~₦3.21 trillion (a 21% decrease from 2024), primarily due to lower trading volumes in their supply and trading segment as they shifted focus to upstream margins.
Profitability: Profit after tax (PAT) grew by 10% to ₦241.3 billion, largely supported by one-off tax credits and impairment reversals rather than just core operations.

EPS: Reported at approximately ₦30 for 2025 (up 67% from the previous year).
Leverage: The balance sheet remains heavily leveraged with total liabilities of ₦7.26 trillion.

Pick the financial statements and check the figures under ''Company''. That is where the trick/magic will happen.
The figures you referenced are for ''Group''

The more you look the less you see. grin

Shouldn't it be the other way around?

mikeapollo:
The dividend is probably coming from ''Company'' rather than 'Holding Co' or 'Group'

So long as jagaban is 2027 president, and I don't see anything that can stop that except God. OANDO will print money, it's just a matter of time.
God does not need to be involved to stop him.The 63% poverty rate is enough to make it possible as he is the Egyptian the people shall see no more in 2027

Raider76:

Yes, the other way round should be the ideal thing, but the entities are distinct in law and ''Company'' may be doing well while ''Group'' could be making losses because of other undertakings.

You see that poverty rate is why he will be returned "elected or selected". So much poverty exist on the land that has removed sense of reasoning from majority of the voting populace.

Access is super good at current price and will deliver. Reminds me of GTB at N18.
All it requires is to pay dividend of about N3.
Ok but when? Acquisition spree ongoing I believe? Anyway eventually I guess.. the game of patience

Nothing to worry if you are ready to hold long, if you follow their well laid out strategic phases. it is a 5 years cycle of expansion and consolidation each.
Having driven aggressive expansion across Africa and into key international markets in recent years, the Group announced it is now entering the crucial optimisation phase of its strategy. This phase is expected to unlock significant value for stakeholders as the organisation works towards achieving its 2027 growth objectives.

The Full Year 2024 financial results demonstrate that the Group’s investments are already yielding meaningful outcomes. Gross earnings rose to N4.878trn from N2.594trn in 2023.

I agree with the first 2, but OANDO is too risky a play for me. might be good for JIJO though.
The bolded is cursed. Explain to me how other oil companies are skyrocketing and yet it remains stagnant.

They already approved dividend in the accounts for FY2025, awaiting CBN's go-ahead.

Well, let's see how it goes. I think interim dividend was not paid because they had not concluded the restructuring activities for 2025 at that time.

My exposure to the banking sector is now under 3% of my total current market value. I am even holding only Zenith.

CBN can continue for all I care.

I have Zenith, GTB, Stanbic IBTC and UBA.

Access Bank will definitely need to raise additional capital after the stress test
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by emmanuelewumi(m): 10:02am On Mar 14
Might also have to sell my UBA shares I am not certain about what to expect after the stress test.

Tony's companies should be highly exposed to the bank
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by emmanuelewumi(m): 10:04am On Mar 14
Is it true that CBN gave directives to banks to make 100% provision for bank directors' loan?

"May be" is different from " Will be".

As the politicians will always say " let us not heat the polity".

Only time will and can tell.

Better to prepare for " will be".

We actually need a stress test in the sector. I think the last one was done by Sanusi

That will definitely a can of worms.

Banks are cheap for a reason, that is why is not advisable to value banks based on their earnings
