Valthegreat:It is very obvious you have been indoctrinated by western propaganda. I am not even a Muslim. I would tell you for free US use this same “terrorist organization” as a means to an end. Mostly to start wars, they would financially benefit from. All the equipment provided by US in Iraq, you don’t find it very convenient that they were taken over by this same terrorist, more or less left behind for them. Just last year, US Aid was accused of funding Boko haram, “US Aid” not Iran or Islam related name. Many of you are so blinded by western propaganda, so much that the foundation is religion. You think you are on the same side cuz you are both Christians lol. For your information, a regular israeli hates “Christians”. I just to don’t to derail the thread. Be careful was you believe especially when the news is propagated by media associated with the west.

With refineries getting blown up in the middle East, it's looks like Dangote Refinery will be a very good stock to invest in short to medium term. Most of the blown up refineries will take years to get fully operational. Follow The Money |

ositadima1:You are mixing two things up, hard-line Islamic country and country governed by clearly identified Islamic terrorists or terrorist apologists are not the same. That's why I didn't mention Indonesia and Singapore in my examples. Terrorists in Pakistan are non-state actors. You can't compare them with Taliban, Hamas and Houthis who are already holding governments and as such are responsible for the decision to use nuclear weapon or not if they possess one. USA is not showing any sign of nuking Iran and Iran can only do what they are doing currently which is being diplomatic with their strikes as a form of retaliation and never in the offensive. When you are fighting with someone you know is not your match throwing stones after running to a far distance in response to the hard punch you collected is just ideal. Let's call a spade a spade, Iran has already become the unapologetic terrorism sponsor capital of the world in every ramification while the Arab people that own the religion has refused to activate the out-dated versions of it. |

ositadima1:Are you saying that besides the records of the bible, there was no place called Israel in history? in other words the Jews are perpetual vagabonds? This could have only been the case if the Nazis succeeded in their plans but since they didn't the Jews couldn't have remained birds forever naa, think about it bro. |

ositadima1:Explainer, you are very wrong sir. The fact that the Fulanis are today pushing out the Tivs, Beroms and Idomas etc from their land and they are running away for safety doesn't mean that tomorrow if they wake up and get back to Benue or Plateau they can not use landmarks to identify their ancestral homes even if it takes a thousand years. When advocating for justice do it with equity please, both are like siamese twins. |

ositadima1:If we are to accept this logic as the standard then Israel should be fast to completely obliterate Gaza and rename it ASAP as the power lies in their hands currently. Oga this standard will hurt the whole human race the more, it is barbaric. |

Harddiskng:I neither watch CNN nor BBC at least I don't have that time, however chase a goat you see on your street hardly and you will see it running to it's owner's home. After attacking Israel last time where did Hamas leaders run to? Search the Internet and show me where Iran has ever disputed the claim that they are funding Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis and more. It is not a rumour it is already an established fact that is not under contention. |

ositadima1:Again you need to catch up on your history and archaeology. There was a kingdom of Israel. Jewish cities and towns retain their names till today. That territory was originally called Judea (Judah) before the Romans changed it to palestina after the AD 70 revolt. If it is your argument that original Jews have gone extinct then it's fallacious. History documents Jewish communities enduring... not only in Europe... Before 1948 there was no independent state of Palestine!!! What was originally proposed was a 2 state solution which the Arabs rejected and attacked Israel. Several times they rejected and largely up till now still abhor the existence of the state of Israel. Hamas in it's charter states the destruction of Israel as it's objective . Are you saying Israel has no right to exist? |

Investment as a Culture(way of life) not a hit and run (a one time event) Investment is not a one-time event or a “hit and run” activity; it is a culture, a disciplined way of thinking and acting over time. Many people approach investing with the mindset of quick gains: they enter when they hear hype, chase returns, and exit at the slightest downturn. This approach often leads to inconsistent results, emotional decisions, and, in many cases, losses. A true investment culture, however, is built on consistency, patience, and long-term vision. It is the habit of setting aside funds regularly, regardless of market conditions, and allowing time and compounding to work in your favor. Just like any culture, it is formed through repeated actions: saving monthly, reviewing portfolios periodically, learning continuously, and staying committed even when results are not immediately visible. Investing as a culture also requires discipline. Markets will rise and fall, opportunities will come and go, but the investor who succeeds is the one who follows a structured plan rather than reacting impulsively. This includes defining clear financial goals, understanding risk tolerance, and diversifying investments instead of chasing “hot” opportunities. Another key element of investment culture is education. Informed investors make better decisions. They understand that every investment carries some level of risk and that returns are a reward for patience and calculated exposure to that risk, not luck or speculation. Ultimately, building an investment culture transforms wealth creation from a gamble into a process. It shifts the mindset from “how much can I make now?” to “how consistently can I grow over time?” Those who embrace this approach are more likely to achieve financial stability, independence, and lasting wealth. In summary, investment is not about timing the market but about time in the market. It is not about quick wins but about consistent growth. When approached as a culture rather than a hit-and-run strategy, investing becomes a powerful tool for long-term success. Wish all a happy holiday and more greens to your portfolios. Remember, making money without tears is our goal! |

To the ones that felt cpo have reached its pick will only eat their fingers soon. its good to have pessimists and optimists but both cannot be correct at the same time. I'm still buying presco at every drop, I couldn't get it at 1700+ last week n it pains me, well 1800+ is not a bad price too. ![]() Somebody here claiming guru bought ecobank and sold them n rebuy in few months intervals again, I wondered what changes between the time frame. is that an intelligent investor or someone doing guess work.. ![]() The same person claiming cpo has picked without any logical explanations. I can never take that gambler seriously. So if you plant rice for example, anytime u sense the rain will be too much for the rice u will go to the farm and uproot it to protect the plant.. ![]() Nothing musa no go see for gate.. Several weeks ago someone her was telling me I should wait for some months for the market to re-price - reprice kwa!I can’t count how many stocks on my radar have move beyond their entry price at that point in time, some or most may never go back to that price point. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by crownprince2017: 7:33pm On Mar 20 |
Harddiskng:Its just delusional for earnings to increase and be expecting price to come down. An intelligent investor should try and check how much the earnings are worth based on his/ her planned holding time to know how much he can pay for those earnings today and never force it on other people. Pa Emma once said people will discovered why it makes sense to buy a company with high p.e compare to buying the ones with lower p.e. |

I set a price to buy some shares at Zenith, for 59.50, before the limit expired, meritrade put on my account that while shares were gotten at about 60 naira...I got a valuation report twice in a row that this share was in my account...I stopped checking the account for a while but once Zenith started moving, I checked and found that MERITRADE has taken the shares out of the account....I asked the customer care and they said the earlier trade did not execute that it was likely due to network issues. To be fair, I checked the chart and noticed a sharp movement in the market at that time but it didn't get to my limit price. MERITRADE did not send an email, they did not notify me so I'd possibly have set a new trade...thank God I quickly bought a few units at the price I met the market....this quite unfortunate and I think our trading platforms should do better! |
