No, trucks don't stop because an airplane is landing because there are different runways. That is why the controllers, ATC, ground controllers are the main eye of the pilot. Once you are cleared, you are free to go because stopping based on your own visibility could cause a collision with another plane especially where there are multiple runways.

Wasn't the pilot's fault nor the truck's.

ATC had too much to handle at that moment.

You could blame him and his team but it's clear they were overwhelmed.

What I'm saying is that the truck driver should have looked before entering the runway. You don't just drive into an active runway regardless of whether you were given clearance to do so or not.

This is common sense driving. You look both ways before joining an active express way

Dey try get sense. How can a landing plane moving at such speed be the one to stop for a truck?

Control tower aside, tell me one good reason why the truck could not have stopped.

The firetruck driver was not blind. And if he was, was he also deaf? Because planes taxiing at such speed make very loud noise.

It’s sad that multiple crashes have happened in the uSA in recent times. If it were any other developing country, we would have blamed it on inexperience. But the almighty USA is messing up here bad needs to get its act together.

During the Biden admin there was something called DEI. In some cases People were employed based on their skin colour and not skill set. Many of those guys found their way into the FAA.

One eeeddìöts mistake has sent these pilots to early grave.

What is happening?

We narrowly escaped this type of crash when I was working as a student intern in Enugu. The year was 2019.

We went on a routine check in the morning on one of the ILS equipment at the end of the runway and was given a pass to cross to the terminal building. We were already on the tarmac when we saw an inbound Arline in the air. The driver quickly diverted into the bushes on the right side of the tarmac and continued until we were safely far from the tarmac. This happened in matter of seconds. Some seconds delay would have been very disastrous and we wouldn't have survived. It was a Toyota Hilux truck.

Get the facts right,the airport was not poorly lit There was fog yes but visibility was clear...the control tower could see the run way clearly which is even better than any computer navigational system.The trucks had no transpoder which had been advocated for long.Have you even watched the video which warning lights and luminous colors are you talking about again when the ambulance was fully lit ..the truck was given the all clear to pass ..you could later hear the guy in the tower .telling the ambulance to stop..stop...this was just nine seconds...and the tower guy knew he messed up.That's why we are humans,we make mistakes.The pains lingers on...time will bring relief.
