Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has stirred reactions after revealing details about his strained relationship with colleague Funke Akindele.

Speaking during a live video session on TikTok, Fabiyi alleged that Akindele stopped speaking to him the very day he informed her that he had completed building his house.

He explained that their friendship dated back many years and maintained that he never offended her.The Yoruba actor and producer used the moment to express his disappointment with the entertainment industry, describing it as deceptive.

According to him, people often perceive certain individuals as kind or genuine, but reality may be different.

“Our industry is very terrible. Those whom you think are good people aren’t. Funke Akindele was my friend from way back. The day I told her that I had completed my house was the last day she ever talked to me, and I didn’t offend her,” he said.

You might be right but you might not know how petty some people can be. Many years ago I worked with an unmarried boss who was in his 50s. You dare not discuss marriage or children around him. One of our colleagues got married and invited him. He didn’t attend. When the newly wedded colleague’s wife put to bed, we warned him not to inform the boss. He did and got sacked a week later.

You're right that people aren't always what they seem but why didn't you bring your grievance to your long time friend to understand what the problem could have been rather than now trying to tarnish their image. Your thoughts on the issue may be flawed from your own perspective

How many times have you reached out to her since then?
What effort(s) have you made to have a one-on-one chat with your supposed friend from way back?
Until you have done all of the above and more, you have no basis for this tacit attempt to malign your 'friend'.

You should know that Yomi's claim isn't gel.

He would have made sense if Funke doesn't own a house. Maybe we can be talking of beef here. Your own story is disconnected to the issue on ground. Your boss doesn't believe in marriage, just like those that doesn't believe in the existence of God. So, if you do anything against their beliefs, they could change it for you.

Funke Akindele own a house, if not houses, so why hating on someone that just built a lesser valued house to hers. Another question to be asked is "Is it only Fabiyi that build house among Funke's friends?" or Can we ask if Funke doesn't relate with any of his friends/relatives/associates that own a house. Yomi is controversial and this claim of his doesn't make sense

Hell to the no . Go and find out well . You think that is why but I can almost certainly assure you it is not . Something else did. Any good friendship that suffers a setback usually triggered by a deep hurt .

If you don't have friends, have money, when you have money, people will surround you.

Well, let's ask Mr Yomi if he ever told Funke that he was building a house because this is very common with Nigerians. They would call you their best friend but would never share any information about their ongoing project with you because they don't trust you.
We don't know if Funke felt betrayed because you can't be friends of many years and just come out of nowhere to inform her that you have completed your building. The best decision is to cut you off because you are actually not a good friend if that's the case.
Imagine you and your best friend talking on the phone for many minutes and 48 hours later, he just called you from abroad, permanent relocation. This is mentality and attitude of majority of Nigerians which I can never understand.
