Your thought is based on an assumption of ambiguity. Chukaaaaaa ![]() Ellahhh 4x? 3x 2x . From now on, freefall is predicted. No ordinary retail investor would ever trust Mr. Chuka again. This is exactly what happened with ETI. In 2008, the bank floated a successful public offer in dollars. A few years later, it betrayed its Nigerian investors. I can tell you for free: the bank is still struggling to win back retail investors. chimex38: |

Flutterwave just became a Bank. IPO soon? “Industry analysts view the banking license as a “de-risking” event critical for a potential Initial Public Offering (IPO). Securing a direct license signals a high level of regulatory trust from the CBN, particularly as the company joins the 2026 AML (Anti-Money Laundering) Pilot program for fintechs.” |

deathwing:What a buy limit actually means is that you are instructing the system to have a deal if the price is lower or exactly your set price limit otherwise no deal. So it's possible you can buy lower than the price you set. It's opposite for a sell limit. For a sell, you are instructing the system to sell at a price higher than or equal to your set price. |

DUE DILIGENCE OR PROCRASTINATION? Don’t let due diligence become an excuse for procrastination. The first quarter is already gone, and we are now in the second quarter. Time is moving, are you? Start something with what you have. Even with as little as ₦5,000, you can begin investing in a Money Market Fund with any SEC-regulated fund manager of your choice or open a stock account and buy any units of Campany shares you can afford. Start now. Stop procrastinating under the guise of [“I’m still researching.” Yes, due diligence is important, but it should not become a barrier to action. Remember: The best time to plant an economic tree was 20 years ago. The next best time is today. It is good to earn and save, but it is better to grow what you earn by investing. Take action today. The quarter is counting already. Get in touch for a guide on mutual funds and stock investment. |

The Kpakus discussions have been a very funny part of this thread. I joined NGX around when it started and I had very good laughs. I didn’t know Ellahlakes since I was mostly a US stocks person, but I thought it fascinating that people believed that a company worth almost nothing could raise 250bn just like that…putting themselves in the same leagues as PRESCO that has been here for decades….even possibly dragging the same acquisition. Thank you all for the laughs. |

presiade:What a man can do, a woman can even do better. I give it up for the MD CEO Adaora of Zenith Bank. I await the final dividend of nothing less than N8.75k to bring the total dividend to N10.00k for 2025 financial year. I still regret a beautiful move that I almost made sometime in July when I had mapped out strategy to convert all my other Banking stocks to Zenith Bank ( selling around N64) for a better consolidation. Then, i had no more money to bring to the stock market. I was only trying to rebalance my portfolio. But, be that as it may. I will enjoy my holding with Zenith Bank and continue to top it up for better yearly dividend. ![]() |

Proposed Dividend: The Board of Directors proposes the declaration of a dividend derived from the Bank’s earnings for the current financial year, underscoring the Bank’s robust operating results. This recommendation is subject to ratification at the Annual General Meeting. In accordance with applicable regulatory guidelines, the dividend shall be distributed exclusively from the audited profits for the year ended 31 December 2025, and not from accumulated reserves. This approach is consistent with the Bank’s established dividend policy and is designed to deliver continued value to shareholders Pursuant to the authority vested by Section 426 of the Companies and Allied Matters Act, 2020, the Directors recommend a dividend of 125 kobo per share, payable from retained earnings as at 31 December 2025, in full compliance with all regulatory requirements. Compliance with the CBN Circular on Dividend Payment The proposed dividend payment complies with the requirements set forth in the CBN Circular on Internal Capital Generation and Dividend Payout Ratios. The Directors hereby seek to pay dividend based on the following justifications: • The Bank has substantially complied with all provisions of the CBN Circular on dividend payments and is not in breach of any regulatory requirements. • The proposed dividend distribution will not have an adverse impact on any of the Bank’s key financial ratios. • The dividend proposal has undergone a thorough review and has been duly approved by the Board of Directors, following a comprehensive risk assessment and careful consideration of prevailing economic conditions. *the above is excerpt from wema bank FS, to declare dividend now is war, CBN is choking the banks* quote author=jonnysessy post=138976776] If this is the best stunt WEMA Bank can pull, why is it then trading above my ACCESSBANK ?
