PuristForest:This is a sensible way to think about the markets and long-term investing in general, especially as the future is unpredictable (sickness, political crises, recessions, not ‘enjoying life’ while waiting to ‘hammer’, death, etc) and anyone can fall prey to Sequence (of Returns) Risk. The main caveat is that trading isn’t risk free either. |

Ladygracy:I can always see my holding on my trading app. But, when bonus shares is given or i participate in a public offering of a share i already owned or that i don't have. The holding is not automatically credited in my trading account. But, it will be there in the CSCS statement. So, when i request that my stockbroker send me my current CSCS statement, i will see it there. Then, subsequently i will demand my stockbroker update my portfolio. This is another reason why we normally keep our ears close to the ground, so that if anyone you know have been credited, you quickly start working on yours. A typical example is this tranches Oando is crediting their shareholders. I hope i have been able to do justice to your question. Another beautiful reason why it will be nice you are logged on with CSCS portal is in case your Stockbroker wants to play hanky panky on your holdings. You already have everything at your finger tips directly. You can always visit the portal to verify your holding at any point in time. |

Coronation insurance spent over 700m on support staff cost( I am lost as to whether this also covers cost for direct employees), board members over 629m, over 600m on branding and advert then another 700m on marketing (what is the difference between marketing and branding sef ), donations made up a line item then philanthropy another expense item, professional consultants swiped over 2bln naira too . At the end of the year, shareholders got nothing. It is well |

My little calculation on how the big banks have performed in 3 years (May 2023 to April 2026). All of the FUGAZ have beaten the chronic devaluation. Only Access Bank remains thesame so far. THE FUGAZ: FBN (May 2023) = 484.5 Billion naira ($1.05Bn) (April 2026) = 2.2 trillion naira ($1.59Bn) UBA (May 2023) = 321.5 Billion naira ($696 mln) (April 2026) = 2 trillion naira ($1.45 Bn) GTB (May 2023) = 832.9 Billion naira ($1.8Bn) (April 2026) = 4.5 trillion naira ($3.26Bn) Access (May 2023) = 465.7 Billion naira ($1.01Bn) (April 2026) = 1.4 trillion naira ($1.01 Bn) Zenith (May 2023) = 847.7 Billion naira ($1.83 Bn) (April 2026) = 4.2 trillion naira ($3 Bn) Assumptions: FX rates (462/$ and 1378/$) for May 2023 and April 2026 respectively. |

WE ARE FORECASTING SOME GOOD RESULTS IN QUARTER 1 2026 One of our forecasts this Quarter 1 2026 is that OANDO is likely to make real profits tht will not be made up substantially of accounting/estimates revisions. But if the revisions still appears again, then we may see a "bomb" of a result for 31 March 2026. We wait and see!!!

I bought some shares in first bank public offer in 2007. I haven't received any dividend and some share certificates. I decided to reach out to their registrar (Meristem registrars) and submitted the dividend mandate. I was paid dividend for 7 years when it should have been at least 17 years since 2007. I have yet to see the stocks in my CSCS account even though I contacted my stockbroker and submitted the required dematerialization and transfer form since 24th of February. What do you advise I do as regards the unpaid dividends and stock not yet showing in my CSCS account? Thanks in advance. |
