nicestlady:It is 12 yrs which after those yrs the money goes back to the company. You can't claim it again. Now that this failed government has created an account managed by cbn.I don't know what will happen to it.It is likely to be looted by apc/Tinubu government Note.It was proposed but can't say if it has taken off |

The US-Israel-Iran war has created a high-stakes environment for the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) and a lot of the movements inthe coming weeks, with specific stocks reacting sharply to both escalation threats and ceasefire rumors. You are right based on the old law. However, with the Finance Act 2020, it can still be claimed after 12 years (actually indefinitely). “(1) Dividends are special debts due to and recoverable by shareholders within 12 years, and actionable only when declared. (2) Dividends that are unclaimed after 12 years should be included in the profits that should be distributed to the other shareholders of the company. (3) Notwithstanding subsections (1) and (2), dividends of a public limited liability company quoted on the Nigerian Stock Exchange which has remained unclaimed for a period of six years or more from the date of declaring the dividend shall be immediately transferred to the Unclaimed Funds Trust Fund. (4) Such unclaimed dividends transferred to the Unclaimed Funds Trust Fund shall be a special debt owed by the Federal Government to the shareholders and shall be available for claim by the shareholder at any time, pursuant to the aforementioned perpetual trust.” Current practical position 0–6 years: Held by company/registrar >> fully and more easily claimable. Beyond 6years: Moved to UFTF >> still claimable (indefinitely, in principle)... Mfunkynation: |

Bizibi:FBNH paid dividend in 2015, 2016,2017,2018,2019,2020,2012, 2022, 2023,2024 . EMPHATICALLY. So, whoever claims she does not have dividend since 1998 should not blame the bank. When they were shouting e- dividend, old folks that are reliant on their Kobo Kobo dividend did the needful then. |

My Google Search : How was the missing airman located ? Google AI Overview : A missing U.S. airman was located in a mountainous region of Iran by the CIA using specialized, undisclosed tracking technology to pinpoint his location to a crevice after he triggered a secure emergency beacon. The airman evaded capture for over 24 hours following the shoot-down of his jet before being rescued by special operations forces. Location Tracking: The CIA used unique, top-secret intelligence assets to track the airman’s location 24/7, providing real-time data to the Pentagon and White House. Beacon Activation: The airman activated his survival beacon to send a signal, which was then authenticated to prevent a trap, according to the New York Times. Evasion Efforts: The airman was injured during the ejection but was able to climb roughly 7,000 feet up a ridgeline, where he hid while Iranian forces hunted for him. Rescue Operation: U.S. commandos used MC-130J aircraft to locate him and Navy SEALs to execute the extraction, while U.S. warplanes bombed surrounding areas to keep Iranian forces from closing in. Quite a thriller. ![]() |

EDUECO:(1) The Iranians got the US airman, and are holding him as a war prisoner now. (2) He died when his plane was shot down. (3) He is still in the mountains, waiting to be rescued or captured. I don't know which of the above points you're making by your kpakus arguement above. ![]() What I know is that foreign affairs is not your turf at all. |

So far though, Iran has given a good account of themselves Their valiant and defiant stance in the face of twin US - Israel recklessness is commendable However this holding of the strait hostage is very sticky and because of how it is affecting markets, this is a hornets nest that can snowball into something else in future Im just hoping for a resolution |
