BabsO2:
That's about 10% of EPS being paid out. And about 5% dividend yield. That dividend yield is poor compared to the Zenith or GTCO. At current market price a PE of 2 is not bad if the EPS can be sustained.
Quarterly results should be huge improvements.

Hopefully the rocket will be ignited tomorrow.

Based on Zenith bank audited 2025 result
EPS: N25.32
Return on Equity: 21.12%
Book Value per share: N119.90
Retained earnings per share: N68.38

Based on Ecobank audited 2025 result
EPS: N26.13
Return on Equity: 21.71%
Book Value per share: N120.35
Retained earnings per share: N105.46

I can't predict daily price movement but either Zenith bank is grossly over valued or Ecobank is grossly under valued. Either way I pin

I already have my next two target stocks in my sights. I am waiting for a blood bath in the market before pulling the trigger.

As usual after I finish buying I go start to market am.

PS I am not selling ETI yet. I have a target price and I will mention after I sell the portion I plan to sell.

Chariot Resources Limited (ASX: CC9), an Australian-listed mineral exploration company, has recently emerged as a significant player in Nigeria's critical minerals sector, particularly focusing on lithium.
Nigeria's Mining Cadastre Office (MCO) recently approved the transfer of six licences (four exploration and two small-scale mining) to C&C Minerals, a joint venture in which Chariot is acquiring a 66.7% interest.
In mid-April 2026, the company announced a major high-grade lithium discovery. Independent testing confirmed the presence of spodumene (a high-value lithium mineral) with grades ranging from 2.66% to 5.96%, This marks the first entry of an ASX-listed lithium company into Nigeria, positioning the country as a burgeoning hub for battery metals.
Chariot’s assets in Nigeria cover approximately 254 square kilometers across four primary project clusters located in the Kwara and Oyo states:
Two mining leases approved; three more awaiting final MCO approval.
High-grade samples recorded; one licence still pending approval.
Operational Strategy, Beyond lithium, testing at the Iganna project has shown significant concentrations of pollucite (a rare caesium-bearing mineral), indicating a strong Lithium-Caesium-Tantalum (LCT) pegmatite system. Chariot expects to complete the full acquisition of its 66.7% stake in the Nigerian portfolio by May 2026, following the satisfaction of remaining regulatory conditions and shareholder approvals. The company plans to use a phased approach, utilizing its small-scale mining leases at Saki to potentially generate near-term production while conducting larger-scale exploration across its broader landholdings.
Chariot Resources is headquartered in Perth, Australia. While they have significant lithium projects in the United States (Wyoming and Nevada), their Nigerian venture currently represents one of the largest and most promising portfolios of hard-rock lithium assets in the region.

Seplat traded at 10k yesterday.
I got my eyes on it at 8.5-9k.
Ignored opinions that implied I should wait till dividend kinikan for a dip. There is too much potential in front for such considerations.
Time in the market is better than timing the market. Won’t gamble an investment decision because a stock MIGHT drop 5%…that is inconsequential for a longterm holding.
If it dips to 8k, I will buy more, if it never dips that low, I have secured my bag already.
Looking forward to 15k over the next year or so.

While traders are transient, the NGX is a constant. It’s a pity that irrationality often breeds short-sightedness—many would rather receive a handout than master the art of the trade.

N9500 too ambitious for the value that will be unlocked on the AKK and OB3 pipeline, subsequently making us a ‘gas’ nation? No wahala, let them sell their Seplat to me.

Once a good stock is discovered just buy it, stop waiting for the dip that might not come. This is what i have come to learn in the stock market. I have missed many good opportunities because of this type of holding on. You can even buy in tranches so that you can always average your price.
cool
