Why do you keep saying you are bearing on O and G? Nigeria is a gas nation. nd Seplat/NNPC will do magic as they unlock. We are rapidly building out gas infrastructure with many more coming onstream. Seplat will supply gas through AKK pipeline to power stations and factories in northern Nigeria, as well as contribute their quota for the naija-morocco pipeline. Europe is on her knees begging for gas from Africa and if that naija-europe pipeline ever gets done, indigenous gas companies will be making ritual-level money...and SEPLAT is right there are the foreforont with their ANOH gas plant. You may be bearish on oil, but our gas prosperity has not even begun

Thanks for this.

What percentage of their earnings comes from the refinery business? I am bearish on oil and gas but bullish on refining.

30%

Refining revenue for 2025 was 210bln while revenue from crude and gas was 440bln and 46bln
Thank you for this.

I got this from Claude

Revenue (₦697.3bn total)

Crude Oil — 63.1% (₦440.1bn): The dominant earner, driven by liftings sold entirely outside Nigeria.

Refined Products — 30.2% (₦210.8bn): A meaningful contributor, with sales primarily within Nigeria.

Gas — 6.7% (₦46.4bn): The smallest revenue segment, but growing (+65% vs ₦28.2bn in 2024).

Investment Properties — <0.1% (₦121m): Immaterial to group revenue.

Profit After Tax by segment (₦221.8bn total reportable segment PAT, before eliminations)

Crude Oil — 55.3% (₦122.6bn): Still leads in absolute profit, though its PAT margin is a relatively modest 27.8%.

Refined Products — 29.5% (₦65.5bn): Solid profit contribution with a 31.1% PAT margin.

Gas — 15.3% (₦33.9bn): A standout in efficiency — PAT margin of 73.1%, by far the most profitable segment per naira of revenue.

Investment Properties — -0.1% (-₦214m): A marginal loss.

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by deathwing(m): 3:11pm On Apr 16
Aradel is growing its gas segment too because the opportunities are insane, and it underscores their efficiency (they make sure they process associated gas from their drillings). That's why i got into them in the first place, though I bought more of Seplat recently because i can see that the future of Seplat is bright.

LPG is a national policy. By the time most households begin to use gas for cooking and NLNG benefits from their increased capacity to supply their new trains, what do you think these companies will be doing in revenue> I honestly believe we are still in early days for O and especially G

After looking at the revenue and profit break down I am starting to change my view about the company. I am definitely adding it to my watch-list BUT I cant buy an oil company when the price of oil/gas is at near record highs.

Let blood start flowing and who knows, this might just be my next darling. That refining business is super sexy

NAHCO's qualification date for dividend and bonus is coming in wks. The price should at least hit 250 by then.

yMcy56:
ARADEL @1547.50!
Full bid!
Not slowing down at all....
No be small thing...
** Needs 100k to move the price with +10%

* Meanwhile, NAHCO is also @200!
This stock go quick do 300+ if market remains bullish like this..

The Oga that wants to sell @200, I was wondering if he dislike more money.....😳😊
Maybe it's the broker that helped him place the offer, he ought to withdraw it
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by deathwing(m): 3:30pm On Apr 16
I was honestly expecting Aradel to get to 1500 around December this year. While I love my stocks to explode, i like them staying down for many months while I accumulate (like i did for GTB between 88 - 100) since it's not like i want to do anything with the money if it shoots up 200%. Aradel is currently almost 40% of my portfolio though...so I think I will have to forget about buying more for now

250 based on what?
I’m waiting for Q1 to see results and market reaction. I think a lot of these companies don’t have the earnings to justify current price

Can you please explain why 250? What supports that valuation?

Nor be only you. My portfolio is looking very weird now. I bought stocks like ARADEL and NGXGROUP on their lows thinking I'd rotate into better-positioned names in O&G and financials, or hold for the very long-term, but they've gone up so much so quickly.

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Raider76: 4:04pm On Apr 16
If you go by FA you have, for example, a PE greater than 20x, which may not support such a price rally. But the NGX doesn't always work like that, and you may need to consider sentiment regarding the dividend and 1 for 7 bonus; and the general ongoing market rally if it continues, as Myc mentioned.

I think you're using an analogue stockbroker that looks like a digital stockbroker.

You stockbroker is the problem.

Jagabanomics
https://doclib.ngxgroup.com/Financial_NewsDocs/OANDO_PLC_-_PRESS_RELEASE_16APRIL26.pdf

Oando is for diamond hands only. If you don't have money that's patient, just leave it grin. See context below. Just know when the share price starts moving, it won;t be because of any of these news/disclosures.

Oando’s newly announced gas supply agreement for the Bayelsa 60MW power plant is positive for shareholders, but it should be viewed in the right context. Based on the disclosed contracted supply volume of 11.2 million standard cubic feet per day, the agreement implies annual gas supply of about 4.09 billion standard cubic feet. Using current domestic gas pricing assumptions, this suggests gross annual revenue to the joint venture of roughly $9.3 million to $11.4 million, which converts to about ₦13.0 billion to ₦15.9 billion at an exchange rate of ₦1,400 to $1.

Assuming Oando’s effective economic interest is 40%, the company’s attributable share would be about $3.7 million to $4.6 million, or roughly ₦5.2 billion to ₦6.4 billion per year. That is clearly value supportive, especially because it points to more stable and predictable domestic gas monetisation. It also improves the quality of earnings by tying gas volumes to a long term offtake arrangement rather than leaving them exposed to more volatile or uncertain monetisation channels.

That said, this is not a transformational contract for Oando at group level. Relative to the size of the business, the deal looks economically incremental rather than valuation defining. The real importance lies more in what it signals: stronger participation in Nigeria’s gas to power value chain, better utilisation of existing infrastructure, and a gradual shift toward more visible and recurring cash flows. For shareholders, the announcement is therefore best understood as strategically strong and financially positive, but not large enough on its own to materially re rate the stock.

I think they are expanding their refinery and may even start petrol refining this year but it’s not the major part of their business.

The pix you posted might indicate it has been sold, but sell value has not settled into your wallet for your withdrawal. Settles in T+2days; (T for the day transaction was executed + 2 work days after).
Did you get a trade alert? What is the name of your broker and what are they saying about the transaction? (Skip if revealing the name of firm is sensitive to you)

Oga Karl. Your is the tenable reason for the talk. If na Bayelsa govt get am (60MW turbine) then it is tenable but for Oando being the owner when the full capacity of Kwale is yet to be fully exploited. It begs reasoning.

You don't need to fill any mandate form.

Companies that Coronation Registrars is their registrar is automated for dividend payment.

It may be automated to the wrong account. That’s how they sent my Aradel dividend to a company account I opened in 2017 and forgot about (instead of any number of personal accounts I have). I don’t even know the full account number.
