Oil prices are cratering down due to opening of strait of Hormuz. If that's what is propping up OANDO, expect it to be in deep red on Monday. |

Streetinvestor2: ![]() Sha give us heads up. make we follow you chop ![]() Anyway, with the atmosphere I noticed in the north, I think the only way Tinubu will get re-elected again is if he massively rigged south-west and south-south result. That's the only for him to win the second term. Even the APC members in the north are not going to vote him because of the hardship. many believe he is only waiting to win the second term and the hardship will double. ![]() May God help us sha. I am starting to believe the person at the top is not really the issue but our collective attitude as a people, and the system in general is the problem. My bangledash friend told me after they succesfully toppled the last government through protest and riot, there is now insecurity in the country and the new leaders appeared clueless on how to tackle it. on corruption, he said some sectors have improved while others have gotten worse, and the new leaders that took over appeared to be hungry and are looting more than the old government. I just tire for all the third world countries. seems like a curse. May God choose the best for us |

Itzlinda:This is what they are betting on.Then the protest and resistance on nigeria streets go loud. The people are hungry and angry so any spark will trigger something else |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Valthegreat(m): 3:29pm On Apr 17 |
GeneralDae:Oboy! The gap between JSE and NSE is like the distance between heaven and earth. NSE can't reach the distance in 20 years time even if they place an embargo on JSE growth. We must give it to the whites that they know how to run countries and economies. Zulus and Xhosas couldn't have achieved anything close to where South African economy is today on their own but they know how to make mouth because people who believe in development have built the system already. |

| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by GeneralDae: 3:56pm On Apr 17 |
Valthegreat:I don’t want to be racist but to be honest I don’t know if it has to do with our black skin 😀😭(I still doubt that). Because even the other countries just behind Nigeria are white North Africans (Morocco and Egypt). Now look at the gap between 4th place Egypt and no 5 called BRVM ( a regional West African exchange consisting of 8 countries together in West Africa). Note that these 8 Francophone countries with just $27.5 Billion total market cap have had stable currencies backed by France for decades. |

Itzlinda:What you wrote up here concerning Bangladesh is deep. That is why I always caution people to moderate their expectations about protest and the so called revolution. There is no guarantee that a violent overthrow of the incumbent will make any country better. In most cases it has always been worse especially for the poor. |

Oil prices going down. Strait of Hormuz declared open by Iran. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Streetinvestor2: 4:36pm On Apr 17 |
Itzlinda:The honest truth. It is whr the country is heading. The 2027 election is the breaking point for this country for the country to turn around for good or scatter into pieces unless one is lying to himself. The ball is rolling |

GeneralDae:W Iran ke? Which Iran? The same Iran that has lost control of the Strait? They are just good at forming and decieving themselves. Now that US is closing in on them, they are rushing to announce the Strait is "open". |

Na wa o. Please stop the negative thinking. Asian capital markets are firing too, but they're not white. It's the institutions and the policies, not the race, that make the difference. Anyway, this gap is the investment case for buying NGXGROUP on any major dip: Country demographic advantages, increased domestic savings, growing demand for investment products, NGX expansion into new products, and a free "call option" on Ethiopian capital market growth with their 5% stake on the ESX. It is like CBN is approving one Bank result per week, at this rate, some Banks result for FY2025 may not be ready until June this year oooo. This is not nice nau, anyways I believe UBA and Access should be out before the end of this month. nedu666: |

Valthegreat:It will be interesting to know the market p/e of jse compared to that of nse. A bigger portion of this gap may just be valuation metrics which reflects market risk perception. For instance, my rough estimate of market p/e of Nigerian banks is 3 which is preposterous in my view, given the fact that they have both historical and potential growth. |
