Oga Nosa, tell us the stock, make we buy am the same time with you.
I really wish I could but it is against my religion. Even if I wanted to sin against the gods I could have when nobody was paying attention. Now that people are starting to think I have sense I really cant go against the gods.

No worry most times price drops after I buy so you will probably buy lower than me (assuming you buy).

If you are invested in some insurance coys, take note:

https://www.vanguardngr.com/2026/04/recapitalisation-12-insurance-firms-in-tight-corner/

“Vanguard learnt that at the meeting, NAICOM reiterated that the July 31, 2026 deadline would not be extended.
… Omosehin also charged the firms to intensify their momentum, warning that any company that fails to comply risks deregistration by August this year.
… According to him, it goes beyond his power as insurance commissioner to extend the deadline because it was stated by the Nigeria Insurance Industry Recapitalisation Act, NIIRA 2025, and cannot be shifted by any authority except with the amendment of the law.“

🏦 Nigeria might be getting a second stock exchange.
And this is one I will be watching very closely.

A Professor — Prof Ndubuisi Ekekwe — just received an Approval-in-Principle from the SEC to launch a new securities exchange.
It is called Contisx.

Targeting launch by September 2026.

Now before we get excited — AIP is not a full license yet.
There are still boxes to tick before this becomes fully official.
But the man behind it is not someone to dismiss.

Johns Hopkins PhD.
Worked at Analog Devices and contributed to components used in the iPhone.
Professor at Carnegie Mellon.
TED Fellow. World Economic Forum Young Global Leader.

*This is a serious person.*

So what is Contisx trying to do?
From what we know so far — it is designed to cover equities, bonds, ETFs, derivatives, and private markets.

The vision that caught my attention is this.
Roughly ₦5 trillion is sitting outside Nigeria's banking system.
Idle. Earning nothing.

Contisx wants to put that money to work.

They are also targeting diaspora investors, cooperatives, and state governments.
Headquarters in Owerri. Regional centres coming in Aba, Kano, and Ibadan.

Now here is where I will be honest with you.

There are questions I don't have answers to yet 👇🏽

Will existing NGX companies be able to trade on Contisx?

What will listing requirements look like?
How will they solve the liquidity problem — because even the NGX hasn't fully cracked this.
Can retail investors like us trade from day one?

These are the questions that will determine if this changes anything.

*My personal take?*

Competition for the NGX is not a bad thing.
It could push for better technology, lower costs, and more access for everyday investors.

But a new exchange lives or dies by liquidity.

And liquidity takes time to build.

This story is still developing(One i am very much interested in) and I will keep you updated as Contisx moves closer to launch.

Stay sharp, stay safe and invest wisely.
Ndewo 👋🏽

Hitting a billion status on the NGX is very possible, it depends on volume of cash you are using to invest, don't forget we are not all the same on this forum.

It is too early to say Access has done too many acquisitions without efficient delivery of benefits to customers. Wait until they conclude and reflect full results of the new acquisitions.
Few years ago, First Bank was stagnating around N4-N5 for almost 2 years without good dividends when they were undergoing restructuring. Wema Bank was less than N1 for some years. Both have now delivered more than 500% since then.
Access will click N40-N50 and above when they finalize everythin, very soon
