And what's your own definition of letting her be ? . There are different ways to Let someone be and the man chose the easiest way in my own opinion just to let her be,which was sending her out of his house without laying a finger on her. Letting her be because he waa turned down is different from letting her be with no strings attached. Why not just break it down at the proposal rejection spot that she should leave your roof?
