If you are 50 without a job, then you should be willing to risk it all. It should be a game of get rich or die trying for you at such age.

1. Go and learn driving, there's always a job for long-distance driving, and with God on your side, you won't get kidnapped, but you can make as much as 1 million per month doing this. Lagos to Abuja is 40k to 50k; if you drive a 7-seat bus, that's about 350k. Fuel will take close to 150k, settlement and delivery might take up to 100k, but you are still left with 100k. If you do this 15 times out of 30 days in a month, that's 1.5 million naira.

2. Importation of rice from neighboring countries, they call them fayawo. I've never seen a poor person doing that business; they usually have a plug. It might not be so easy to do, considering that there are many police officers that are ready to take as much money as they want, and the more you can avoid them, the more you get.

3. Farming: there is much fertile land in Nigeria; if you go to the remote area, you will get acres of land at a cheap price. Look for one cash crop that you can cultivate, and before you know it, you will be swimming in money.

4. Join the Nigerian Military: they are always actively recruiting. If you don't get killed fighting insurgency and you get in as a graduate, you might be lucky.

I have uncles in their sixties still hosting naming ceremonies.
Look at Pacino,look at DeNiro.
Pacino was broke at 50. His accountant blew all his cash on vanities like cars etc.
Pacino took acting roles he didn't like for about a decade.

Today hes paying his girlfriend millions to have more kids with him, at 85.
