Valid question. I don’t think he has anything against borrowing itself for growth but why not consolidate your finances first before expanding aggressively?

There is nothing like consolidation nor expansion going on. It is borrowing for jamboree!
They are borrowing and awarding dubious, inflated contracts without tender, no bidding, no senate approval, no budgetary allocation etc. to cronies like Chagoury brothers who had no competence nor experience whatsoever in construction.
But all of a sudden, contracts are being withdrawn from reputable companies like Julius Berger and handed over to Chagoury Brothers without any cross bids.

Can Julius Berger do a better job than Hitech when it comes to coastal road constructions?
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by GeeKudi: 12:32pm On Apr 24
I have been on the road these last few days criss crossing most states in the south. They have literally turned the whole country to a construction site. The road construction going on between Ebonyi and Cross River states over the river Cross is monumentally massive!
They are all concrete roads.

GeneralDae:
Can Julius Berger do a better job than Hitech when it comes to coastal road constructions?
Construction of major roads (coastal or not) is the Julius Berger specialty.
Hitech has no track record in constructing major roads, apart from the ones they got from Tinubu/Lagos state for some roads in Lagos state.

Julius Berger constructed Third Mainland bridge, coastal road should not be a big deal.

The coastal road contract should have been given to 3 firms

I never buy oh. Though one of them was Transcorp. I'm mentioning now because I've decided not to buy it. The fundamentals look good but the thing no ginger my spirit. Transcorp Hotel valuation rubs me the wrong way and the power thing is just too political.

As for the second one I don start to buy. Expecting some money which I will use to finally load up.

That's a tad harsh (although I sense a hint of banter)..
Many billionaires of today started with less than that figure several years ago... smiley

INTBREW has a MktCap of ₦2.4tn, NB ₦2.6tn, GUINNESS ₦1.1tn

Same principle is used to "evaluate or compare" similar equity like ARADEL vs SEPLAT... wink
Are you saying it's reasonable to say INTBREW is worth almost same as the largest brewery in Nigeria (NB)? Won't you agree with me that either one is overvalued compared to the other (one is undervalued compared to the other)?

They are why management don't take shareholders seriously at AGMs. I listened to that of CWG as well and it was mostly praise singing from beginning to the end. Even the chairman was hurrying them to hasten up. I listened to NAHCO's AGM twice and there was a Dr who consistently asked intelligent questions based on the numbers in the report, grey areas that needed clarification and future plans of the business.

I don’t rule it out. In the next 2-3 years it could definitely get to 1k if we work with a 15-20x PE

And who says I am for Obi, or Atiku, or Kwakwanso, or Amaechi or Wike or Tinubu?
I don't assess people who are not yet in power as president. I give all of them (including Tinubu) the benefit of the doubt and wait until they become president, before I assess their performance in office!
I don't pre-judge anyone of them. A pupil/student must sit and perform in an exam before you score him ''zero'' or ''excellent''.
The failures of past presidents cannot excuse or justify the failures of the current president. Failure is failure!

I am not aware of a past presdent/govt that took away projects from a credible Julius Berger and handed over to Chagoury Brothers without tender, cross bidding, etc.

And ACCESSCORP is around $US 1.2 Billion.

ACCESSCORP has great potential for price appreciation in the short run.

The same favor that Hitech is benefiting now was what Julius Berger benefited from in the 80s and 90s which makes you think they’re a civil engineering giant. Is it right? No, but What's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander!
