One of those things bro

Guess they can now publish true results

Year end EPS not likely going above N10 so they can still pay N1 interim and N3 year end dividend

With CBN stress test on Banks coming in the month of April 2026, where insider loans are to be provided for 100% and classified as non- performing.

UBA is on a long thing, no dividends this year at all, till 2027 or beyond

Things might not be worst as people are over analyzing here..
Rise in prices wasn't and isn't about dividends alone...
Make una no give yourselves unnecessarily heart attack over UBA's result...
If Tony can address shareholders, the press or drop a press release just like Otedola did, it will douse tension....
After one or two days, the price may stabilize....
We've been in this market before.....
His boys may storm the market to stabilize the share price.......
He has done it before......let's see how this is again handled.
When STANBIC declared below expectation dividend, it was punished for one or two days, stabilize, then started moving up again.
It's well.
Make we dey see.So after toni picked the RI at #50 and you guys no buy you expected him to pay u guys dividend. And they think he will allow something he bought at #50 go to #30
Is it dividend making transcorp hotel go above #200.
Uba will see red of 2 or 3 days and that is all
Is it expected dividend driving FBNH to this present price

I have stated here several times that I am not a dividend guy. This result is not just bad because of dividends, this bank has the lowest net profit margin of all banks that have released results so far (at least the ones I have on my spreadsheet).

It would have been ok if it was a one off forbearance hit but the Q1 result has managed to be worse than last year. If I were a shareholder I will bail out and not look back until the coast is clear.

Funny enough write-off for 2025 was not much worse than that of 2024.

Anyway I like my money too much to hold this kind of company.

What do you project will be the likely outcome in respect of the dividend?
Access has tried to remedy it. That was why they did public placement some weeks ago. It is now left for the CBN team to verify the process and either approve or disapprove.
