"Nothing beats long term investment."

"The dividend I got from UBA is more than the capital I invested"

" UBA is 30% of my portfolio"

" I will be reinvesting all my UBA dividend including the ones I inherited from my grand mother back to UBA "

Abeg make una dey fear God small undecided undecided undecided

Thank you so much.

Even if it's going to 140, still best to see Q1 before buying anything. How many of the big banks have learned their lesson? Have we forgotten the past so soon? Impairments don't just happen..they were a series of bad judgments which without a strong regulatory agency would still have been baggages. I choose to wait till I see Q1above 7 and decide whether to load up or wait for a much lower price…maybe 90.

Many are denying UBA. I have a lot of UBA. It’s my largest investment in the market. I believe the brand since the days of STB. Elumelu is a good manager

Please house I placed a bid to sell my UBA shares by exactly 10am this morning. but when I opened the sell order it is showing executing but below there is a message showing “(308) minimum prize step 0.05 step”?
Second question why did the stock go down to 49.50 before the market opened today before 10am?
Any advice on how to go about successfully selling my stocks today?

I said "'it is believed that he took loan from the bank.........."'
''Perception'' is part of the factors that influence the stock market. Things could normalize soon with the release of better quarterly results, but it looks curious that UBA is reporting huge provisioning for possible insider loans at a time when the Chairman (or CEO) has just bought huge stakes in an international oil company.
Whichever way, you are correct, the Afrexim loan to Elumelu is a related party transaction; UBA backed several Afrexim loans, including the one taken by FG. All these guarantees will be included in the provisions. Unfortunately, the AFS won't list the names of the debtors. Elumelu indirectly used UBA funds to buy Seplat shares.

10% rule is saving grace for most NGX stock as human emotions change with time. Otherwise UBA would have gone 50% down today.

Without this 10% max rule, stock market in Nigeria would have been shock market grin

VFD Group is desperately fighting a losing battle against gravity.
The same insiders who dumped on you before the rights issue have now laid bare the deep rot and fundamental weaknesses in your organization. The situation has deteriorated so badly that you’re reduced to patching your balance sheet with commercial paper.
Market gravity is waiting to punish you, and it’s coming hard below ₦10.00.

When you opened the Sell Order, it can't be showing executing because, firstly, you placed at 10.00am while Premarket starts at 9.00am.....meaning, lots of offers/sales has lined up before you come to the market...

2ndly, you placed offer at wrong price.....meaning, if placing bid or offer for any stock above N10, you should place the bid in 0.05 steps....
Example: If you placed bid for ACCESS @28.24 it won't go thru.....
The "Par Value" movement is in 0.05.....e.g. 28.20, 28.25, 28.30......31.40, 31.45, 31.50.....etc.

You are on the queue, did you see the millions of shares on offer, you won't sell until there is sufficient bid to get to your turn n price. Pray a whale comes so all of you can dump and go elsewhere. Till then wait and review your price as appropriate daily.

Are you placing BID or OFFER?
Bid = buying
Offer = Selling

The lowest price for UBA today is N49.50 (which is -10% for today)
The Price range for UBA is N49.50 lowest and N60.50 highest .
You can only buy or sell within this range for today.

* Market reality for now: UBA is presently on Full Offer @49.50.....
Sellers full ground no Bids yet......

The truth is that many people want to buy UBA, but not at its current price. Let it drop a bit, and you’ll see massive bids come in. They’re on the sidelines waiting for a good bargain, it will surge once the price is right. cheesy

Saw a signal that the banks may do well, so, I bought Zenith and Wema. I'm over 80% up on my Zenith already. The success with Zenith coupled with their impressive dividend made me think UBA might do well too. Now I'm just going to become an investor in UBA shocked embarassed embarassed
