These banks are so systemically important to the NGX and even to the whole economy, UBA did not pay dividends red everywhere, meanwhile NB did not pay, no one notice that, even MTN didn't pay for two years, heaven did not fall, but now UBA, there is a contagion of red on the street

Without the 10% limit, there would be too much volatility in the market, which is a huge risk.

TRANSCORP did not make any significant price movement until Ote came to shake him. The same TRANSCORP has been stagnant again for almost 2 years

Banking sector is a different ballgame. They are in charge of people's money and they have huge amount in their retain earnings. Except, that the retained earning is audio money. UBA will drop as low as N30 before you will see buyer

Very true. He only care when he wants to raise money. Its a relics from his distant past. He was able to build up his substantial holding in both UBA and Transcorp keeping the shares low while he mops up.
