If and when the news of WEMA acquiring Polaris is confirmed, most likely, dear brother sluggish aka Access may never catch them again.

Or perhaps, are some people already seeing what the blind cannot see?

FY '25 has not been released.
Extension sought till 29 May
Q1 and possibly Q2 for Aradel and Seplat would balloon their prices even higher. It seems this is just the beginning.

BUACEMENT has 34bn OS
WAPCO has 16bn OS
DANGCEM 16.9bn OS

Just considering the OS alone, WAPCO should catch up with BUACEMENT.......na my ghetto analysis be this 😁

DANGCEM na the baba for them all...

Not sure I'll agree with you on this one though

Maybe that is the case cos of the market is relatively illiquid

But in a proper, efficiently run market, with many (informed) participants; those hard caps are inhibitors
Okay ooo. As you please.
By the way, there is no 100% ''efficient'' market anywhere in the world.

How much of that OS is in the hands of retail traders for both companies? I heard BUA Chairman controls more than 75% of BUA, that’s OS that never trades.

This report contains duplicate entries for Q1 '26 and Q1 '25.

Hopefully they correct it promptly...

Well, yes, that's the advantage BUA has over them......Price can be manipulated.

Lol, instead of admitting you overlooked something in your comparison, you chose to put it this way. grin

So BUA can manipulate prices but WAPCO cannot? Funny how reasoning gets weird when you choose sides.

That’s it. That OS is not traded at all. The remaining 5% is what you see moving prices. If WAPCO starts acting anyhow, BUA will respond in kind, lol.

The reputation of UBA is really battered by the recently released result.

More than 7000 tweets on twitter all bashing the result.

Only institutions can drive the price up as retail would very wary of buying unless financials improved

Yes, I agree with you, it has started seeing buyers gradually. Almost one billion naira has been traded so far. I project 1.5 billion to 2 billion by the end of today.
