The pride that comes into a lot of you once it seems like you are doing better than the person that taught you is why I regret contributing to the original thread back in 2012, which birthed this one because Iyke took it upon himself to continue from where the old one stopped I have never said this publicly but that experience killed something in me and made me stop sharing information freely. Wealth355:You have to give lyke some respect. As far back as 2012/2013 that I was serving as a youth corper, he already had a domain thread on this forum, educating people about this business. I used to see and read his posts in those days but I was more interested in the mini importation thread then. You are right that he may not be making BIG sales like gptexchange or whoever, but his consistency over the years and mentorship of several domainers who have passed through him, including me, ensure he deserves respect. 19 Likes |

I didn't pay for Boss Iyke's training because as at that time I couldn't afford it but I took my time to read this thread to the last page (1500 pages) as at 2021. This is because in as much as he had paid mentorship, he didn't forget to drop enough info on this thread for some of us that didn't have money as at then. I'll not watch you disrespect someone that has positively impacted my life. My first ever sale was a .xyz name and it was for $500. Took 3 months to sell it. I used a strategy Boss Iyke doesn't know of or hasn't explored but would I call myself a Boss and place myself on the same level as Boss Iyke? Person wey show me way? $100 sale for an investment less than $10 is a blessing. He shouldn't celebrate it? Do you know the adrenaline boost some people on sales drought get when they see a sale at all? Do you expect him to share all his sales here? narite:Bossman, the thing he's calling "celebrating", I see it as Boss Iyke "reporting" his sales. There's no rule guiding how many sales report one should voice out or a minimum figure one should report whether Boss or Newbie. Whenever his sales are reported sef there's always a story he writes about how it got sold. I mean there's always something to pick up from his narration of how the sales went. I believe the guy had sketchy intentions — something that's totally unnecessary if true. I've been off domain flipping for about 3 years. narite:IK trained me too! Most of his trainees that are still in the business, built on what they were taught, developed their own strategies and are still making tweaks. Even those who didnt get trained by him still owe him their sucess because of this thread, which would not have existed without his input. I sold ebook on domaining at some point but IK has never sold an ebook(at least to the best of my knowledge). He has freely shared loads of info here on this thread. Alot of persons would have sold the knowledge. It is the joy of every teacher to see that their students are doing very well. Even with the edited message, what is left is still insulting? who is he to determine which level IK should be in? who is he to say IK ought to have left Geo Domains? Does he know the effect of having multiple $100 sales in a month? It is this disrespectful and toxic attitude that made alot of folks stop sharing their sales or making contributions. If he was remorseful, he would have deleted the whole message. In domaining, find out what works for you and stick to it. if you are unwilling to learn from others or dont see sense in their own strategy, keep it to yourself. 11 Likes |
