Their holding in Stanbic IBTC Pensions Fund alone is a massive cash cow. What can go wrong?

Mr articulate why don't u articulate what are the achievements of this government for the past 3 yrs in different sectors. You so called government is doing wonders with the economy and poverty rate has continued to increase. The last time it was 63%.It could be 75% by now.just because u fall among the less than 1% population involved in ngx.You have mouth to dey yan dust.
Every good governance is for the living and not when your people are dying of hunger and poverty, insecurity .The power sector and public health sector are dead. The education sector they claim achievements is rubbish. Why must Nigerians collect government loan to fund thr education. Was that the way you and the generation before whr able to go to school. Is it the blotted and corrupt infrastructures happening under ministry of works.Abi the one wike is using to steal the country blind bribe judiciary/inec indirectly
You removed fuel subsidy as we all agreed.
Did we say u cannot subsidize the education, health and other sectors that wil make life bearable for the people. Whr are the packages that was to come with the removal of fuel subsidy. The cng mass transport system promised. It is now rocket science after 3 yrs
Oga this government was a mistake that shouldn't have happen to nigeria after the failed Buhari regime. They are only interested in borrowing and bringing out all manner of tax.
The facts are in the open .it is not about writing English as you dey look for articulate
I keep wondering what this government will use as achievements to campaign while asking for Nigerians votes.Since they don't have strong positions on that they are preparing different ground for rigging. Naija go red when the time comes if they think is going to be business as usual in 2027
From the little I know going by your comments on this platform, your goal, dream and ambition come this 2027 is to according to you "push out this evil government". Not a bad idea. However, I will not do you enough favour if I allow you to dissipate the energy you will need for that at this point in time.

Don't you think it will be a good idea if your Lord and Saviour goes about telling us his agenda even as he changes parties as a woman changes her panties? It is not enough to jump from ADC to NDC to the next unknown destination without convincing us enough that will are in the wrong bus.

As you are at home today, enjoy the very best of this Sunday.

In the 80 /90 s my neighbours never experienced this level of hunger and poverty by families. What to eat was never a problem to families. Nigerians middle class families in the 80s could afford new cars and thr children went to good government schools which gave quality education. We whr never scared to our bones travelling on the roads.we whr not this divide along so many lines. We whr happy

GeneralDae:
You are right about corruption and wastage by our Government but absence of corruption alone would not bring about these free services in Nigeria which you found in Brazil because:

Brazil’s total revenue in 2025 (at all Government levels) was $650 Billion

Nigeria’s total revenue ( including both FG and all states) in 2025 was approximately $30 Billion

The reason is not far fetched. Brazil have some of the biggest Agro firms in the world. Their own NNPC (Petrobras) is a world class company. So the taxes Government gets from these few businesses alone dwarfs anything in Nigeria.

Brazil is 210 million people and Nigeria is 230 million people. Same population.

What we should be focussed on is not just corruption because even this current president in Brazil is believed to be corrupt (even during his first term). What we should be focussed on are the policies that led to their success over the years.

Give me a corrupt man with brains and I would take him over a dull saint who only hates corruption but lacks ideas. Better still I prefer a man who is not corrupt and still brilliant.

But most of all, I prefer better and long lasting policies/institutions.
Very wise and analytical.

Unfortunately, most Nigerians think the country is rich when in actual sense it is not. The worst are the politicians.

lol.. I know.
just pulling your legs.
Welcome.

Dangote cement is good.

They payout a large portion of their earnings.. Up to 90%+ of recent.

The only downside i know of is the low liquidity in the market aka scacity of trades sometimes.

Depending on your quantity, If sth happens and it's on full offer, meaning many people selling, and unfortunately you want to sell within that period it may be difficult to get buyers for your stocks for days or weeks or months.

You can ask those in Geregu and Transpower.. grin

But cement is generally having a positive outlook in the short and long term. So no forecasted downside to create such scenerios unlike the power companies I listed above.

It's good risk worth taking for long-term and dividend payment l.

For Nigeria to be a better place, it has to be run like individual companies by both the leaders and the followers. Patriotism was the order of they then, nobody celebrate thief but today, stealing are called embezzlement to reduce the severity of the behavior, they give them chieftancy titles after stealing public funds today.

Today, in my view, we don't have any qualified candidates among the known people looking for the position. They are all crook with the same ideologies.

I didn't make my post expecting 99% of the readers to agree with me. For practically all our lives we have been told that corruption and electricity are the two biggest problems Nigeria faces. When in reality, the belief that corruption and electricity are the biggest issues is actually the biggest issue.

We could spend the next few hours debating this claim, and maybe I would be able to convince one or two people but at the end of the day it will be like trying to drain the ocean using a tea spoon.
That was how we ended with the calamitous Buhari.
The erroneous belief that corruption is our biggest problem and that Buhari would be able to tackle it. Once he did, that 99% of our problems would be solved so we were told. That was how they packaged a dullard to be voted a president. We are at it again.

Yes cement is an essential commodity. Even after wars construction will be needed.

I plan on looking out essential commodities used daily and invest in companies that offer this commodities.

They all have thesame ideologies except Kwankwanso who is a socialist and may not run as president but probably vice president to Obi in NDC ahead of his 2031 ambition.

But Atiku, Obi have very similar ideology to that of Tinubu.

Take Education for instance, neither Atiku nor Obi believes in cheap education but I see their supporters everywhere calling for subsidy in education or wanting cheap university fees. I laugh in Chinese 😆.
