Bossman, the thing he's calling "celebrating", I see it as Boss Iyke "reporting" his sales.

There's no rule guiding how many sales report one should voice out or a minimum figure one should report whether Boss or Newbie.

Whenever his sales are reported sef there's always a story he writes about how it got sold. I mean there's always something to pick up from his narration of how the sales went.

I believe the guy had sketchy intentions — something that's totally unnecessary if true.

I've been off domain flipping for about 3 years. I just resumed and I feel motivated by whatever sale I see reported; $100 or $4k, Boss or Newbie.

At first, I thought he is degrading $100 sales has been nothing. Later on, I realized the message is not about $100 sales.

I think the guy is trying to say…..Bro Lyke should think bigger, his not thinking big enough. If that is what it is. I don’t really see anything wrong telling a friend, Brother to think bigger (Although this might be very hard to do, as people easily take things the wrong way).

And he could have passed his message without the use of any derogatory words. It is disrespectful!!!

Which data points did you rely on to infer that Iyke isn't "thinking bigger?"

His sales report alone? If that's the case, then that's not a very intelligent analogy.

As far back as 2020, I sold a name to some guys doing automated manufacturing (now a major player) that I never reported anywhere till date.

If I and a few others aren't reporting those for whatever reasons, why would you assume that someone like Iyke isn't doing better, and only reporting what he feels comfortable doing?

That guy has done so much for the Nigerian domaining community and should be respected.

P.S. I didn't take Iyke's class directly, so this isn't me defending him for allegiance sake. I only read the thread from start to finish back in 2018.

Brotherman everybody thinks big till offers come in.

If you priced a name at $499 and a $100 offer comes in, you're left to accept or decline it.

People have so many names that they take any "sensible" offer so they can get some of those names off their hands.

You cannot tell someone with over 200 names to think bigger than a $100 offer. Do you think he has enough time to do outbounds/follow-ups for all of those names?

Again, that guy's opinion wasn't well thought. It's a geo name, it doesn't matter how much it's sold as long as it's sold.

If you look very well and very observant. The reason for many sales report now on X, is because of IMPRESSION FARMING.

Some domainers sef wey no dey post before done dey do content to farm Elon money.

And the funny thing..most of the contents na trash but looks good on paper.

There's a secret you unlock in domaining and you find out the big HYPOCRISY! Misleading, contents that will waste your years until your eyes finally open and you see it.

That's why I no too rate many top domainers again cause they're part of the problem. And the system is highly capitalist and favors those already making big sales.

You see all the rigging, insider trading and any corrupts practices you will think of in top financial markets..e choke for domaining gone mixed with hypocrisy join.

Left for these whites una no go even see the $100 sales! Ahaaa.

If I start to they drop facts...ehh! Make I just keep quiet. The thing is that every single domainer can scale up fast to $100000K revenue let's say in few months if it wasn't rigged with as little as $100. The market is very open for all.

So if you see ppl like IK shouldn't be taken for granted. Cause most of the industry only favors those that are able to scale up and then they burn the bridge for others.

Yes, there're still few diamonds in the bags as always, but the game is highly rigged.

Yes, Atom sends payment directly to Nigerian account through Stripe. You only need to provide your account details directly in your Atom settings to receive funds. $19 fixed charge.

I use a domiciliary account for that, but it should work with your naira account as well.

However, note that GTB will convert to Naira for you using their own rate, which isn't the same as you would get in the black market, if you had a dorm account.

If outbound dey work for me like Iyke, I go dey do the same thing. I still dey send emails to end users steady laidis but no sales.

There's hardly any week I don't reach out to end users. I am not discouraged by the lack of sales from outbound because I do this more to raise awareness, after which I lock up. Those kinds of so-called low sales that Iyke sometimes reports would have been good for extra motivation if I had them.

Till tomorrow, if I see a geo domain with potential, I go still register am and do outbound. cool
