Good morning everyone.

Please what are the pros and cons of using online apps such as Bamboo and Trove, as against the traditional walk-in stockbrokers?
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by megawealth01: 8:39am On May 05
I started my ngx journey with 6500 naira
elpaso007:
That is a more reasonable amount for a retail investor.

USA and other foreign stocks availability to purchase.

otherwise, same way you would prefer to buy your food stuffs directly from a farm than from retail stores.

What's on the bedsheets?
My oga, nothing much as am still laying my bedsheet for a sound sleep grin

That said, I still believe in the stocks that I posted a few weeks ago. One of them, Aradel, has already doubled since then.

Regarding Dangote Sugar, I think the stock will deliver at the right time. I agree that its debt is substantial and it currently has negative retained earnings. I believe 2025 results look like management may be intentionally keeping the share price low, for reasons best known to them.

Looking at the numbers, if they aim to turn the earnings positive which could drive up the price it achievable.

The rights issue has been announced with an immediate qualification date, followed by positive Q1 earnings. Let’s see how the market reacts going forward.

Also, based on the recent discussion here comparing NASCON and Dangote Sugar, if you look at their latest results side by side, Dangote Sugar’s metrics appear stronger. TA has been showing some good signs over the past few weeks.

Another stock to consider, if ethical considerations is not a factor, is NB.

They succeeded in wasting my time today. I bidded for a share and it was on pending list for a long time. I later thought the order was executed as my order turned green. I am surprised to see that my money was credited back and no share appeared on my portfolio.

Lesson learnt :You need to register with two to three stockbrokers in case one fails you. This is another level of diversification. cool
I have had stocks bought, turned green and the money returned to me. At this point, i have cause to believe they are arbitraging their clients buy/sell transactions for their own profit. All this hiccups and delays point to this.

Yes, i have another one: APT Securities and Funds limited. Their commission is higher than Morgan Capital. My major problem is that i have funds tied with Morgan capital. I might do a withdrawal if that one can go through.

I don't do foreign stocks for now. So I don't have idea.
I just know foreign stock integration is one of the main attraction people use 3rd-party apps.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Raider76: 10:12am On May 05
It seems DMA (Direct Market Access) is either currently or no longer available on Morgan. I am also seeing the same issue. Unless it is from NGX.

There was a day i had free time, so i was fully on iTrade portal from 9:30am to 2:30pm I placed my order to buy and saw it on queue. Right before my eyes, my order was filled in the morning and turned green in the order section, the money deducted from my account and the total stocks bought was shown in my portfolio.

After the close of the market, part of my money was returned to me and the equivalent number of stocks purchased was deducted. I have also witnessed the same scenario on the selling-side. How do you explain that?

I always place my buy/sell order at the start of trading day and go on to attend to other business of the day; and i pop in at night to see the status of the orders. It took me a few days of following the market from opening to closing to observe this anomaly.

I think buyers and sellers are being arbitraged by the house and stocks/cash are balanced out after market closure. Those who bought/sold a particular stock higher are arbitraged with those who sold/bought lower of that same particular stock. The house pockets the margin it makes off this arrangement. More profit to the house.

Happy for them because I bought more today.

Average entry price now N26.73

If heaven wants to fall let it fall. The bank's management has rightly identified their problem and I suspect in the next few quarters we will begin to see those issues addressed
So i bought Access corp today at limit price of 25.7.

Selling pressure is no more.

Now i can talk about access. One thing i would say is a BAD price for access should be 45 - 51naira.
Like if you look at access with pessimism then the price should be 45 - 51. There is absolutely reason access is trading at 25.7 naira right now.
