Good day house, I have been following this stock platform to learn and improve in stock market. Anytime someone/novice ask questions, please you people should try and put that person through. One answer can save a lot.
I bought Wapco last week for 344 now it going down to 319.Am already at loss. Is it a good idea it to sell before it goes down further and buy mtn at 815?
Instead of doing FIFO buy when they are down.Becareful to jump on a moving traiin.Sometimes it works out well and sometimes you fall off the rail.

I use this link to pick fallen stocks,

when new investors ask me this question..what i usually answer them is....

at the time of your purchase, what was your plan? to trade or to invest?

if you planned to trade, then you must plan your exit before you purchase..as in , time to take profit or time to stop loss...

And if you planned to invest, you must also ask yourself, what time do you buy more when it enters a loss position over time and also your ultimate exit strategy someday...

so lets have your answers to these questions before we know how to advise...

I am waiting to see you get it right this time on access. It is just that you don't have time frame for it but FBNH will deliver than it starting with yesterday closing price...bookmark this post.i will use this yr as my time frame. That is 2026 full yr
That is the main issue with the access bank. The timeframe it will get them to bring down Current foreign exposure of 19.3% of shareholders funds to 10%. Even if they decide to sell those assets it may likely take them at least 1 year to fully dispose it

Hold your WAPCO; it will recover. Wait until at least 400, then you can decide whether to keep holding or sell. MTNN is good, but like WAPCO, it has also advanced significantly, so selling WAPCO to jump into MTNN may not be the best move. Because what will you do if MTNN drops by some percent, sell again? undecided

DANGCEM @1083....
Waiting for 100k to move +9/10% for today...

More investors showing interest...
By the time deep pockets enter this one, we fit no see am for 1500 again...

Come to think of it:
If DANGCEM is listing in London, then current price is cheap because it's not even up to $1 here yet......not to talk of £ 💷 shocked

The question is:
Can a whole cement giant list for $1 or £1? 🤔

It does not need that to happen for the stock to move. Accesscorp trades more than 1 billion naira daily. What it needs is for the sell side to reduce significantly to push the price up. Stocks that trade less than 300 million naira can still move 10%, talk less of one that sometimes trades 2 to 3 billion naira daily.

Like I said, let the sell side dry up for a few days and watch it move.

But I am still waiting for it around 20/21 though; the buy side can dry up as well. FA people will not understand, lol. grin grin grin
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Sunrisepebble: 12:48pm On May 08
The average dividend yield on the LSE is 1.5-1.6%. Dangcem for this year at current price can do 6-7%. The stock is definitely going to rally

Without necessarily referring to, tagging or quoting your earlier post, or mentioning your moniker in my post, you have decided to tag, quote my post and direct your response at me personally
While I clearly referred to ‘’most Nigerians’’ in my post, your have changed it to mean ‘’every Nigerian’’. And also gone ahead to assume responsibility for an innocuous post talking about ‘’most Nigerians’’, thereby effectively ‘’buying’’ the matter and ‘’carrying it on your head’’, as my late grandma would say.
You have therefore assumed a personal fight on behalf of ‘’most Nigerians’’ who have been alleged to be boastful when blessed! Why can’t you assume and take position as being among the ‘’few Nigerians’’ who are humble and not boastful when blessed, if you want to?

You claim to have been blessed hugely by God in NGX. Congratulations for that. I wish you and everyone more success as we tarry on.
You also claim that your posts are for personal motivation, gratitude, worship and testimony to God Almighty. Good to hear that from you.
But if truly that is the case, why do you necessarily want people to believe, accept, recognize, honour, acknowledge, validate your success story on a faceless forum?
Even though you and I don’t know each other (in real life) and have never had any serious prior encounter or interaction or disagreement on this forum, and without anything to warrant it, you have jumped and quickly rushed to use derogatory and condescending words like:
bitter analogy,
malice,
myopic understanding,
sheer bellicosity(lol),
heart of resentment,
crab mentality,
darkness
envy etc.
Are these words supposed to come from you if truly and truly, your intention is to motivate yourself and give gratitude, worship and testimony to God who has blessed you?
Genuine personal motivation, gratitude and worship to God lies in you, your heart, your mind and God Almighty alone!. It does not require or worry about the acceptance, recognition, honour, validation or acknowledgment by the people. It keeps you calm, happy, relaxed and fulfilled whether people believe your success story or not. But you are here displaying aggressive behaviour, arguing, insulting and abusing everybody who seems to express some doubt or disbelief or challenge to your success story.
Why pick a fight with anyone who does not believe or expresses some disagreement with you, especially on a faceless forum, to the extent of calling them names? Does it make you more fulfilled, instead of the quiet confidence that should accompany the blessing that you have?
If you fight or strive to convince everybody that God has blessed you in NGX, then it means you don’t even believe it in your heart. You still want validation from others!

Apart from riches and material blessings from God, I pray He gives all of us wisdom, maturity, good health and long life.
Davido is a very rich guy. But he says Dangote always advises him to be humble, modest and invest more. Why? Because the future is pregnant and there are still many uncertainties to face and rivers to cross. It may be too early to blow the horns and trumpets.

People like Dangote, Adenuga, Rabiu etc. are still looking (hustling) for money. They are not beating their chest to say they have arrived, and call anyone who disagrees with them as being poor, filled with hate, envy, myopic, malicious etc. How much more those of us who are only buying few shares in their companies?. Let us keep making the effort, make the money and be hopeful for more. The blessings are abundant and will go round.
Real blessing, money riches does not like noise; it does not fight and does not seek recognition, acceptance or validation from anyone. It radiates quiet confidence
Best write up I have read so far. God bless you.

Nothing stops the shares from selling at a fraction of $1 or £1; it is the OS that determines that, not the size of the physical company.

Though, based on my understanding, it is a positive for NGX investors in that the Dangote Group will use 10% from its share stockpile for the listing. But, they may want to buy back (indirectly) shares from the current Nigerian free float to recover their reduced OS, which would further reduce the free float on the NGX.

Looking at the chart over time, it has happened several times, even this year. Look at the chart I posted a few days ago. I am speaking based on what I have seen the chart do. Remember that a chart plots past prices against time.

Zenith below or around 100 is possible before July.

Presco below 2000

NAHCO around 180

I plan to invest and hold for a long time. Like to keep adding up and gradually build my portfolio for years. I want to be enjoying good amount of devident when I build my portfolio to my target and still manage to maintain stability in my investment ( I know the market goes up and down) but let it no affect me over time like 5 years after

Dangcem potential London listing is giving it a push. It is going to N1,500 easily.
Access and Uba bleeding seem to have halted for now.
