Just checking this thread. Thanks to all the positive minded and ready to work smart Nigerians who has contributed one way or the other to earn and teach others how to make money legitimately online too.

That's solely the purpose of creating this thread and this has been achieved and still been achieved.

To some people that may have tried and don't get results, continue researching and explore more. And more importantly be happy with someone else progress and findings.

Many fault finders here are failed domainers. Yes. They bought one or two names, no sales and they resorted to bitterness, looking for faults and excuses instead to learn more and follow professionals.

I remember learning this domaining as a one day training at Elephant house then in Lagos 2012 - 2013 and to God be the glory I've recorded many success stories. At times, it's not how much you've acquired that matters, it's how many people have you helped.

Lastly for those that may not know, I do domaining full time now. Yes. It's like a business to me now. I have the passion. Not every info, new findings or even sales report I drop here.

The purpose of creating this thread is to create an awareness that you can make good income buying and reselling of expired domains. This has since been achieved.

No month I don't get sales personally and sales reports from my students who I've trained before . You looking for faults, who have you helped?

I will still be posting some of my sales reports and new findings here occasionally.

For those willing to learn humbly and need mentorship, do more research on your own or visit my website Julanky.com

Hello all.
I'm considering getting Mail.Suite paid plan to automate my out.bound.ing. My concern is this. Does it have a feature that also allows me to automate follow.ups cause i can't seem to see the option on their website.

IF there are other alternatives to automate my outbound, please kindly recommend.

Thanks.
No direct follow up but you can schedule your campaign timing. Generally manually is still the best if you have the time.

Grey card is not working on unstoppable domains to make payment anymore.

The useless Grey is saying they have blocked the platform due to high risk.
Re: What To Do To Make Money Online? by Datbadtguy: 6:24am On May 11
Domain flipping is definitely a solid play, but honestly, it’s a lot more of a waiting game than most people realize. I’ve dipped my toes into expired domains before, and while the "real estate" analogy is spot on, you have to be careful about the history of the name—if it was used for spam in the past, it’s basically a digital lemon. I found that sticking to niche, industry-specific keywords works better than trying to find short, generic names nowadays. It’s a great side hustle if you have the patience to research backlink profiles and wait for the right buyer to come along, but definitely don't expect a payout overnight.

What will this Nigerian gain by doing this fraud-like move? It's not bad if you share sales report of others but don't do it as if it is yours or fail to give credit to the rightful owner.

Buy Domain Only You Believed in - Not what Stats says:

To the newbie reading this, feeling excited seeing sales with 4fig. it's true no amount of reading will prepare you ahead of buying that domain for $9.99

You pay for the name, why? Simple answer, Your instinct tells you I can sell this domain (uninformed presimistic stage)...

6 month gone but no sales, this is the cross road that define the presimistic and optimistic person.

Same way there're informed and uninformed presimistic...

Let me change the narrative, Spam isn't your problem, all you just need to do is stay in the day one mindset with a new perspective "You pay for the name, why? Simple answer, Your instinct tells you I can sell this domain".

You can either be informed presimistic or informed optimistic. I would encouragement you to be optimistic, work hard and believe but regardless, offer value to your endusers...

with GPT and Claude there are billions way to create problems and solutions as a content to email writing... anything that offer value and solution first before follow up pitching next. (Another post coming up on outbound days and tone patterns matters)

Here is a general and quick way to HR/ pick ED domain without stress.

0. Any domain or keyword with Google pages full of sponsor ads grab the domain and think later... lol

A. NICHE FILTER (Must pass 3/4)
i. Average job value $1,500+
ii. Ongoing / repeat demand (better if it's emergency eg roof leak or plumbing)
iii. Businesses already running ads
iv. Keyword causes visible pain (awkward URLs, poor rankings)

❌ If it fails 2+ → SKIP

B. GEO FILTER
Tier 1 or Tier 2 city
Commercial activity visible
Multiple operators (5+)
Market not price-sensitive

If city feels “quiet” → SKIP
hack: specialist medical and law niche are ONLY for Tier 1 cities else OYO.

C. DOMAIN STRUCTURE CHECK
i. Clean read in one breath
ii. No hyphens / gimmicks
iii. Obvious service + geo OR strong brand geo
iv. Passes “would a business owner use this?” test

If you hesitate reading it → SKIP

If you can’t visualize a buyer → SKIP

I will stop here don't want to go deeper... of course there are always exceptions.

Top tiers 1: Texas (Dallas, Houston, Austin)
Florida (Miami, Tampa, Orlando)
Arizona (Phoenix, Scottsdale)
California (selectively)
Losangeles newyork miami dallas houston sandiego sanfrancisco DFW chicago atlanta phoenix Scottsdale McKinney Westchester

Mid-tier 2.
Austin nashville tampa orlando fortworth denver seattle sanjose sanantonio lasvegas scottsdale irvine orangecounty sanmateo oakland (All construction and handyman agbero)

Tie 3: smaller or less competitive cities
columbus cincinnati cleveland indianapolis milwauke stlouis kansascity minneapolis pittsburgh detroit louisville

Gems don't sit on the surface, you have to dig the earth for them. Hardwork, persistent and consistently pay.

Applied knowledge is what distinguish a winner from others.

Do not make complaint on Twitter to Grey App or any other Fintech App. Scammers are cloning their handles to scam customer's money.

Yesterday was the saddest day of my life. A scammer defrauded me of $2,697 by sending me link through DM as if it's Grey App to resolve my Grey card issue not accepting payments on domain registrars to buy domains for some time now.

I foolishly entered my log in details into the link that mirror Grey App perfectly and he had access to my Grey App, stole $2,697 by converting it to USDC on Grey and move it out before Grey was able to block my account after I emailed them ASAP.

It's when I saw the debit alerts I noticed I had just been scammed.

Please be very careful both on Twitter and nairaland.

If Grey cards had been working to buy domains recently, I wouldn't have been in this situation. I wouldn't have tagged them on Twitter to complaint and a scammer wouldn't have disguise as Grey to DM me.

So sorry this happened to you, that's a lot of money to lose to those b@ztards.

I have also experienced the same thing about 3 years ago, mine was GTBank and it happened while I was half-asleep half-awake, the debit alerts cleared my sleep instantly. Since then I've been very cautious on X, these scammers are available no matter which big company you're having issue with, not just financial institutions alone. I called out an Airline about cancelled flight earlier this year, and the scammers are already reaching out to me via DM with accounts that have usernames similar to the airline's customer service and the company logo as profile picture ~ but once beaten twice shy.

The best way to prevent this is by sending a direct DM to the company using their official handle and wait for their response, no posting/quoting them openly on the timeline. If you have to post on the timeline (cuz calling out publicly puts them on their toes), ensure you reach out to their official handle via DM first, that way, if any other account sends you a message, you know they are not the real company since your first DM to them won't be seen in that conversation.

Deeply sorry for this experience, and what a sum to lose at this time.

Also, we should avoid leaving large sums inside most of this fintech apps, unless we're making payments with it ASAP.

X as well needs to do better about fake accounts. It's just too much these days. The painful part is that there's 90% possibility that it's a fellow country man that ran you that street.

Finally, Grey should be able to provide the address the crypto went to. We can start from there to see if the receiving platform can be identified.

Grey keep saying crypto withdrawal can't be traced or recover. Then why did they allow crypto option on their App. It wasn't there before.

If it were only bank withdrawal like before it would have been easy to trace. That's why too much innovation is bad.

Afternic, Escrow and commercial banks have refused to allow crypto payment and withdrawal on their platform because crypto encourages scam and money laundering.

Telegram and Twitter are filled with scammers. We need to be careful when using those two platforms.

I have 2 factor authentication on. The scammer cloned Grey app so perfectly that the only way I could have detected something is fishing is if I look at the domain name to confirm it's grey .co

Also I should have been vigilant when the 2 factor SMS code came on my phone and not respond anymore.

The scammer made it look like it was actually Grey account

The safer bet for me now is to abandon Grey account totally and move to another Fintech to receive payment of my domain sales with a new email address.

I know the scammer will want to target me through email phishing next time since he knows my grey email address, even though I have changed my password. He will pretend he is Grey customer care mailing me .

Thanks for the info, boss.

Personally, I will knock out Dallas or Houston to put Austin in somewhere in the top tier. cool I will also replace Westchester with Tampa. Experiences differ.

@edoman2016, sorry about the loss. I can't imagine how I'd feel right now if I were to lose such an amount. Morale go just disappear for some time.

This, perhaps, explains why I only limit local fintech apps to conversion or special purposes and Grey is the only one I use. Laidis I don't have up to $10 in my Grey account and I last used the account for a few GoDaddy Closeouts back in February.

If you are so disposed, I'd recommend you consider having or using a Payoneer or Wise account instead as your main account going forward - especially if you don't mind extra fees. I'd especially recommend Wise if Grey was the only account you've been using for receiving your proceeds - they're more cost-friendly than Payoneer.

Don't just take it like that. Grey isn't being honest with this case.

They sent the crypto to the scammer's wallet, so they should simply provide the address it went to.

Also, something tells me you need to investigate this more. What was the domain name you entered your details on? Did Grey ask you for that information so they can target that domain and take it down for the safety of their customers?

If not, then Grey themselves need to be held more accountable. You never can tell.

How were the scammers so efficient to mirror their platform and all of its features and functionalities, so much so that you didn't spot any difference?

Ask more questions.
