A total of 429,664,606 units of CWG Plc shares were executed as an off-market trade on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, in a single deal brokered by Cordros Securities Ltd, which acted on both the buy and sell sides of the transaction — a structure known in market parlance as a negotiated cross deal.

Nairametrics gathered that the block trade, valued at approximately N8.98 billion was executed at unit price of N22.00 per share slightly above N21.50 prevailing market price, representing roughly 17% of the company’s total issued share capital of 2.52 billion shares.

The transaction is one of the largest single-ticket off-market trades in the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) technology sector in recent memory.

emmanuelewumi:
You remember Afroil.

A company that could not pay the rent at Ajao Estate and got quit notice 5 years earlier, got over 500% in capital during the bull era.

Afroil was in the down stream sector of NGX and was the cheapest in the sector at N1.00, after investors made money from Mobil, AP, Total etc they started using the profit to buy Afroil and the stock was on full bid for weeks.

At the end of the day, the stock crash and the business went into oblivion

Why didn't you tell us this while you were crucifying some of us trading so called "kpekus". Am I right with the words? I can't recall the way you write it.

Sadly, some of us here did listen to you, not knowing you were busy filling your pocket behind the scenes, doing what you told us not to do.
Jumping in and out of a stock where there is an opportunity to make quick money is okay. But I don't encourage using very risky companies when jumping in and out of a stock.

Ellah lakes(aka lekos) is a low quality company when compared to companies like ACCESSCORP and UBA.

Both ACCESSCORP and UBA have not declared loss results(reduction in profit is not equivalent to a loss)for the last 20 years. On the other hand,Ellah lakes is still a mediocre or a loss making company cool.

I plan to buy Ellah lakes for N2. I am just looking at all this bull market blues. Let market sentiment change first, people will be dumping like the stock has leprosy.

Haha! I swear you sound like a good friend of mine who lives in Lagos. He is also bullish on Ellah at current price. I hope you guys suffer serious paper losses so I can buy lower.

In the long run (2-3 years) N10 is a steal but between now and then a lot can happen
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by megawealth01: 3:06pm On May 13
Buy VFD if you get money wey you no dey use for a long time. You go still chop small 0.25k dividends sha. Check if the qualification date is still favourable

Sometimes in 2024 I was worried about fidson financial being impacted by high fx related issues but a good analysis by osita and bovali changed my view n I held on to it, today, it crossed 6x.

I love counter opinions with genuine reasons.

Thanks guys.

He should have compared with Ellah both of which are in the same sector. grin

Pa Emma, what is your mission? shocked

Fair hearing cool
yMcy56:
By comparing small upcoming ZICHIS with DANGCEM?
Or by company a whole industrial giant with upcoming Agro Allied?
Why didn't he post since the stock was at N5, 10 when no one could even see to buy?
Immediately I saw his post, I knew he's up to no good on the company....
Like I said, Mr. Market will take it's due course...

Meanwhile, the whole full offer they're shouting is not even up to 10m, barely 8M
Where did you see the volume holders offers?

The ELLAH they badmouthed so much is still live on the Exchange, they'd wish it folded up but God pass man.

A loss making company is equivalent to leprosy! sad

I don't invest in loss making companies when there are many profit making companies.
