Streetinvestor2:But people entered WAPCO at ₦30 based on charts and technical analysis, or do you think TA traders only buy stocks like Zichis? TA traders enter stocks not because the financial statements say so; they often don’t even look at them. They look at charts and price action. I remember telling you, based on the charts, that WAPCO was a buy at ₦30. I can even bring up that post if you want to argue about it. |

I tried in my own little way and understanding to breakdown some of the results, I may be wrong and may be right, but I always go with my convictions. * Lest I forget, I joined one not long ago, I don even forget self, maybe because I'm just a passive member.....😁 Have you seen TA or SA discriminating against any stock before? |

The upgrade from B- to B by S&P Global Ratings is psychologically important for the Nigerian market — maybe even more important than the actual one-notch move itself. For Monday specifically, I’d expect a strong positive sentiment reaction across the NSEINDEX, especially in: - Banking stocks - Industrials - Consumer names with FX exposure - Large caps that foreign investors already monitor The market has been waiting for a signal that Nigeria’s painful reforms are beginning to gain external credibility. This rating action tells institutional investors: “The reforms may finally be stabilizing the macro story.” That matters. But here’s the part many retail investors overlook: 1. A ratings upgrade does not automatically create a long bull run. 2. It can start one — but sustaining it depends on whether the underlying reforms continue to improve earnings, liquidity, and foreign capital inflows. A few things the market will likely price in immediately: A. Lower perceived sovereign risk B. Better confidence in naira stability C. Increased probability of foreign portfolio inflows D. Improved outlook for Nigerian banks and Eurobond exposure E. Hope for lower future borrowing costs That combination is bullish near term. However, for this to evolve into a multi-month bull market, the market still needs confirmation from: inflation moderation, FX market stability, continued reserve improvement, lower interest-rate pressure eventually, and consistent policy credibility. Right now, Nigeria is transitioning from a “survival narrative” to a “recovery narrative.” That’s a very different market psychology. My expectation Monday: likely strong green session, especially in tier-1 banks and high-liquidity names. Next few weeks: momentum traders and local institutions may push the rally further. Long bull run? Possible — but only if foreign investors actually return in size and reforms keep translating into corporate earnings growth. One thing I’d watch carefully: If foreign participation rises meaningfully over the next 1–2 quarters, this upgrade could become the first chapter of a broader rerating of Nigerian assets. If not, Monday may end up being more of a sentiment spike than the start of a secular bull cycle. Ovamboland: |

Streetinvestor2:This is the same WAPCO that stayed @9 for long self... Touched below 9 briefly ... Before you can even be talking about 30, it stayed on a spot for year(s) @18/22 before moving to the N30 you spotted. Stock that Currentprice identified at below N10, and all we are saying is not even a far distance year self. |

Emmanuel Ewumi will deny many of you the opportunity to make money in trading. Instead of you to develop strategies on how to make more money using day/swing trading, you are there arguing with him and his entourages. If you are a trader, make good use of the extended trading time and T+1 @ NSE. FA TA SA makes good money for all market operators.Just choose one and develop your ideas towards it. Emmanuel Ewumi doesn't belong to my investment style , He is an investor while I am am an active trader,We look at the market differently, that's why I jump and pass his posts and I don't think he also agrees with me also. Why are you killing yourselves when your strategy works for you and also work for him. How long will you be on this contexts? Wake up .....TA is speaking again while FA will be silent for a moment |
