Brave man. What is driving your optimism in the stock over the next 5 years?

emmanuelewumi:
Loaded additional 72,000 units of Lafarge Africa yesterday. Planning to hold for a minimum of 5 years, by God's grace.

I said I also use Business man metrics.

One of it is the Price Sale ratio. How many years will it take if I use all my revenue or sales to pay for 100% acquisition of the business based on its current price

Before Zichis started having a fall in its share price.

The Price Sale ratio was 71. Meaning if we use the current revenue figure to pay for the current market price of the business, it will take 71 years

It means we won't pay salaries, taxes, cost of sales, capital expenses and other running costs, whereas that of Dangote Cement is 4.5 years

Someone here said we should sell aradel as the introduction of dangote Refinery would affect some stocks in the oil industry.
May be for the duration of the IPO as some people take profits to invest in Dangote refinery but if you are in Aradel for long term minimum of 3 years you will be glad you stayed.

As Dangote refinery is listed and it flies up, it will drag Aradel up too. More like sector repricing. My opinion

Like DanCement, WAPCO doesn't need laborious analysis to be picked for long term investing.

* Make sure you are making money;

* Know what works for you;

* Manage your risks;

* The bigger your portfolio, the lesser your exposure to risky stocks;

* Only play low quality stocks when your TA game is strong, if not stick with blue chips.

These kind of discussions, when it stays within the bound of good taste, can be quite nourishing.

We have First Trustee, Stanbic IBTC Trustees, United Capital Trustees and many others.

Once can have a will, and include in the will that his or assets should be transferred to a Trust at his or her demise.

One can also have a living trust

But people marketing low quality wares usually term the discussion, information and knowledge and experience shared as hatred for those low quality wares.

One just need to have an open mind and be open for a conversation.

*I follow an handle on X, @cryptosenko, he's a TA specialist. I can argue he's one of the best on Twitter - based on his record. It is phenomenal, more than 98% accuracy rate on his TA calls on NGX.*

But crucially, he emphasise FA just as much as TA. He often says low quality stocks (**Oshimiri stocks**) are to be used to extract liquidity, and deploy the "loot" to FA/solid stocks. Never to be emotionally attached to low quality stocks.
Or any stock for that matter without a strong corporate governance record.

I think the back and forth basically reinforce this point.

Knowledge, balance and risk management are important.

***This is not a promotion of anything or anyone. Please do your own research. I don't know him and he doesn't know me.
I respect and admire his work ni.

People also know those who have ulterior motives and those saying things the way they are.

People with ulterior motives will be aggressive, abusive, insultive. They can't back their wares with facts, figures and logic, they rely on emotions, prayers and hope.

They can only be powerful if the people following them are not informed, knowledgeable and wise
